This is my favourite straight black tea by far. It is such a bold flavour, with an almost malty sweetness to it. Once steeped it has almost a honey scent to it.

My advice is to let it steep for only 2-3 minutes, any longer and it will start to taste bitter. It is so finely chopped that the flavours and colour are released almost instantly. I was told that honey compliments this tea very well (as opposed to sugar) if you like your teas sweet, but I prefer it with only a splash of milk.

I used to work at David’s Tea, and most of my postings are about their teas. One day when my large collection of DT teas has been exhausted I will be up for trying other brands :)
