drank Valentines by Adagio Teas

I should send Adagio a well-worded Thank You note for blending this tea. Chocolate and Strawberry in tea form? How can you go wrong? It really is true love in a cup. The strawberry is the real star of this tea, with the chocolate flavor lingering afterward. It is not overpowering, but doesn’t leave you disappointed.

I’m trying to enjoy blueberry tea, but it’s not taking. I really like Adagio teas, but this did nothing for me.

drank White Peach by Adagio Teas

Thus begins my forays into white teas. I think I’ll give this white peach tea another try once the warmer months arrive. I suspect it may even be enjoyable iced.

A good, solid black tea blend. Unlike English or Irish breakfast blends, though, this seemed a bit two-dimensional to me. I did not detect the flavors of chocolate and malt.

You have to really enjoy medicinal teas to like this. Unfortunately, I cannot stand licorice root, one of the ingredients in this tea. However, for stronger stomach’s than mine, I recommend this tea because I support the Yogi brand and I like the idea of a Super Antioxidant Green Tea. Why not? We could all use the extra protection from those pesky free radicals.

This tea actually makes you feel refreshed after drinking. I’ve never encountered a hot beverage that quenches your thirst quite like this does. It’s surprising. I recommend enjoying a cup of this tea with some good quality dark chocolate. Trust me.

I recently (re)discovered Celestial Seasonings. My mother drank it for years, but I always thought of Celestial for “Sleepy Time.” Well, I decided to give them another try. Lately, I’ve been really into drinking a cup of green tea at night after dinner, so I opted for a flavored Green Tea. Lo and behold, I am very pleased. The fruitiness in this tea is slightly on the tart side, but not in an unpleasant way. This blend also includes some white tea (“for smoothness”) and I think it works to counteract any bitter after taste. All in all, I am satisfied with this tea, but it doesn’t top the myriad green tea/citrus combinations.

This is my Go-To breakfast tea. It’s subtle enough to appeal to even my coffee-loving friends (I’ve converted two of them to tea drinking with this brand), yet complex enough not to get boring. In fact, this was the very tea that turned me into the avid tea drinker I am today. My taste has become more nuanced since then, but I am still a huge fan of this brand.
