So it’s +26 C (79F) add the humidex and it’s 32C (90F) a good day to be at work in a place with AC. Home has AC too thank goodness. So why the heck am I drinking hot tea?? well the pumpkin mate makes me think fall, Halloween and temperatures that are a bit cooler than now. Sometimes I forget I’m in North America and start thinking I live more south especially on hot days like today.

This is another one from my stash. I’m trying to break up the stash teas that I have at work a bit so you don’t constantly get the same ones in a row. I can taste a bit of the peppercorn and some kind of berry. I can also taste a bit of tulsi but it mixes well with the peppercorn taste so I almost missed it. Some sips have the chamomile taste on the finish but it’s light enough that I don’t mind.

So this isn’t actually part of my stash. This is a free tea bag that I grabbed after an event ended at work. They let us get our hands on the extra fruit, tea, and stuff so that clean up is a bit easier. The dry leaf smelled like berry medicine (currants cause this usually for me), the smell while steeping would be about the same. The tea is raspberryish in colour. For the taste this isn’t bad. Not something I would pick up myself but okay for a cup of tea at a restaurant. Raspberry comes through a bit stronger than the currant. I also taste a bit of lemongrass kick at the end but in a pleasant lemon way. I bet this would taste nice cold.

Side Note: This wasn’t on Steepster so I acutally got to add a tea!

I’m getting a nice roasted like taste from this one. There’s also another flavour that I just can’t name. I’ll probably figure it out a few hours later long after I post this.

Mmmm.. I shall rename this pumpkin cider which I have never had but imagine this is what it would taste like. I’m eating Lindt milk chocolate while drinking this.

That sounds lovely, and I had no idea maple Cheerios even existed.

I found them around Canada Day. I don’t know if they will stay but I hope so.

I had this before the pumpkin mate. Mostly because I wasn’t awake enough to steep tea. So I threw some of this into a cup with some coconut milk. As always it is quite tasty. I find different milks bring out different tastes in this. When I use skim milk I get more spice. When I use 1% I get a bit more of a creamy feel. Coconut milk is somewhere in the middle. Still a nice quick and easy latte to make when you don’t have time for a proper tea before cycling to work.

So I got off midnight shifts yesterday morning and then I had to wake up for the day shift today. So my mind is still trying to adjust the sudden change. At least this shift will be pure overtime so I shall have a bit of extra money. That’s why I started the morning with this tea to help wake me up and get my brain started for the day. I’m not steeping it any less than 7 minutes from now on as that seems to fit this tea perfectly and give me the most flavour.

Axe the “a”.

Autistic Goblin

well at least it wasn’t a double shift and I really like this site especially compared to other places I get sent to. So it’s not so bad.

Teas in my cupboard may not be physically in my cupboard anymore.

I read ebooks mostly scifi/fantasy with some mystery thrown in. I should also mention that I read graphic novels from Marvel to Manga.
I have an orange and white tabby who is cute and noisy.

I also hate all coffee flavoured things and yes that does include Cappuccino. I can’t stand tobacco either.

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian while I respect those that are. Anyone who gets between me and my meat.. well just don’t :D
I also don’t drink alcohol or smoke. beer, coolers etc.. all taste horrible to me. As for the smoke, besides the health hazards it smells awful!
