Dang it, it is still really cold outside! Go away you pesky mountains of snow that ring the work parking lot. Seriously I could hike those things and get a free workout. I am sooo tired of this crummy weather. Where is that nice -1C or better yet +1C? Oh well thank goodness I have this tea to get through it all. I can’t wait to see what Verdant has coming in the February Month Club ( I have the bundle subscription) also once I finish some more tea out of my cupboard I’ll order some more of the good stuff from Butki.

Flavors: Lemon Zest

Today screams for this tea! It started to snow… and of course with windshield it is once more -40C , it’s warmed up to -27C but with blowing snow it really doesn’t feel any warmer. My vacation is also over and I’m back at work and that’s reason enough for this creamy lemon~y goodness. I put it in my new 16oz Timolino mug. It’s my first Timolino and it’s ice blue, I also have the 16oz midnight green one. Oh yeah I’m prepared for anything now! Bring it on world!

I had this hot and well ick! the first sip was okay but after that it got icky. I know I’ve had this before and I must’ve had it cold to rate it a 67. If I was to rate it right now it would be a 10 or less. The smell also gave me a headache. It’s weird that Verdant Tea and Butiki Teas never give me this problem and yet David’s Tea is a guessing game of which one will give me and my Mom a migraine.

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 4 min, 0 sec 5 g 8 OZ / 236 ML

This is much better as a cold brew. Hot it is all hibiscus but cold some of the other flavors get a chance to come out.

Helena

hehe I usually do things like this iced as they are usually better that way but thought I should at least give a hot steep a chance.

Lynxiebrat

You could try keeping a diary when you get a migraine, note the ingredients see if there is any correlation. Could it be the hibiscus? Could even be a certain stock of a particular ingredient.

Helena

hehe it’s me and my Mom and it happens with strong smells mostly. Rock Star soap from Lush for example, this tea, citron oolong, and a few others. Excluded from the DT list are pumpkin chai and oh Canada and thank god for that because they are so yummy!

Okay I’m so very on the fence with this one. To be fair it’s the licorice, I HATE black licorice with a passion that knows no bounds. I do like the cocoa nibs taste I can get out of this but the licorice is hiding in the back and playing hide and seek with my tastebuds. So I’ll rate it 50 a nice in the middle rating.

Okay it’s been awhile since I’ve had this my favourite tea possibly of all time. That’s simply because I did not need the caffeine for awhile there. But today I just felt so sluggish that I needed my creamy lemon super tea. Also this is the first time rating it on the new steepster website which means I can share my love of this tea on Google+ and thus lots more people hehehe. Mmmmmm…lemon~y goodness!

A very nice cleansing tea. However when I opened the bag it smelled sooo much like fish that I was hesitant to try it. I did give the kitten a sniff from the bag and he took to the smell like it was honeysuckle or catnip. He was very disappointed when I took the bag away from him. The pup couldn’t care less unless it was actual fish in which case she would eat it right up if the kitten didn’t beat her to it!

A very good tea cold! I’m not sure I would like it hot but this will be one to add to my summer list. It’s very melon~y in taste. I can’t really pick up anything else yet but that’s okay.

Flavors: Melon

I changed the rating due to the fact that it gave me a migraine from drinking it. Luckily I had some Verdant Tea nearby and that fixed me up with in seconds

Lynxiebrat

Hmm. I still have a Goji Pop sample leftover from a sampler gift that I got from my Auntie, I guess I could try it cold…maybe I’ll like it more then.

Mmmm… yummy! I love this chai, well I do prefer the Yu Lu Yan Chai of which I’m out since the 16oz I ordered turned into 16 oz of Yu Lu Yan Cha black (sigh) I’m mixing it with other stuff so it’s okay. Now this chai is nice and gingery with some yummy chocolate and cinnamon. Highly recommended :D
