drank GABA Oolong by Mandala Tea
1758 tasting notes

This tea tastes relatively good. It is not the very best oolong. That being said the gaba in it can have a very relaxing effect. I steeped this tea twice in 190 degree water, first for 3 1/2 min the for 4 min. I used 3 tsp of leaves in a 16 oz pot.

It is slightly bitter and slightly floral in taste but not a strong bitterness or a true strong floral that is often found in rolled oolong tea. I am drinking it with a mixture of honey and sugar, no milk. The mild effect of the GABA is very nice after a particularly stressful week.

Flavors: Bitter, Floral

190 °F / 87 °C 3 min, 30 sec 3 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
