This tea is reasonably good. It is not incredible. The maple syrup flavor is fairly accurate but I think it is a combination of caramel, toffee, and natural and artificial flavor. Nowhere does the David’s Tea website list this as having any “Maple” in it. Still, its not bad, just not incredible like a good maple syrup. I can’t taste the rooibos in this and I like rooibos flavor. I just wish I had known there wasn’t any “Maple” in it when I bought it. I would have bought something else. Of the eight teas I bought from David’s Tea, one has been horrible, four have been great, two have been decect, and the eighth I have not yet gotten around to trying. If anyone wants to sample some of these teas in my cupboard from David’s Teas let me know, we can work out a swap.

I brewed this once in an 18oz teapot with 2.5 tsp leaf and boiling water for 5 min. One further note, the flavor of this tea seems to get less intense and better as it cools. Some teas are like that, don’t know why.

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
