Cream from Adagio Teas
4

Hmmm okay what to say about this one. Well the dry leaf smells delicioso just like cream but I smell maple in there too and this is a good thing because I like maple.

Steeped the leaves 5 minutes in boiling water as per Adagio’s steeping instructions and once steeped the leaves smell a little less creamy and maply the leaves have really grown once steeped and filled up the infuser basket. The liquor is dark black typical of a cuppa Ceylon. I know I don’t care for Adagio’s Ceylon base so this one can go either way.

My first sip taste good on the front of my tongue but as soon as it hits mid tongue and back of throat I’m totally grossed out by a strong astringent, BITTER taste that I DO NOT LIKE! Ewww how could something that smells so good go so wrong.

Anyone who enjoys this tea or thinks they may enjoy this tea PM me and I will happily send it your way (it’s a sample tin).

I know. It was my first truly bad tea experience. I thought I had had some bad teas but nothing compares to the punch this one had YUCK.

:( in sympathy because I hate sad bad tea moments.

I only brew Adagio’s black tea base 2 1/2 minutes (rather than the suggested 5) because it is too astringent for me too. By shortening the time, I find that I can control that astringency to a tolerable level and it even becomes quite enjoyable.

LiberTEAS, Thanks I will try that.

Too bad, I have a blend it’s amazing in.
