This is my 100th tasting note!!! Anyway after an exhausting weekend seriously I am ready for the work week to start so I can recover from this whirlwind of a weekend. Soccer game for teen about 100 miles away on Saturday morning rush back so he can dress for 8th grade dance then off to olive garden to drop him and friends, then on to dance but not before taking lots of pics. Hubby insistent on going to the Dynamo’s soccer game while son is at dance so then rush to get to game watch game rush home to pick son up from dance wait in long carrider line and well it’s just getting boring so I’ll spare you but you get the point right? I’m not called “soccermom” just for grins! :)
Anyway on Friday night I got in two orders one from Rishi one from Silk Road and it was like having a personal Christmas if at Christmas you got all teas. Well I’ve been waiting for awhile to order this one it’s been on my shopping list from pretty much my first week here. I couldn’t wait to steep it up and so I popped the top tonight and to my surprise it smelled like homemade cinnamon bread yes you know the kind with lots of cinnamon and sugary icing YUM! So I couldn’t wait to taste it but I did I waited the five minutes (rather impatiently but waited all the same) it turned into this bright red liquor and I kinda started to freak out because it does have hibiscus in the ingredients and I don’t know if I like hibiscus yet or not I know people tend to have strong opinions on hibiscus around here so this made me nervous. That and the smell changed to a tarty smell (I am guess the hibiscus?).
So on to the taste the taste is like this it starts out slightly tart and cinnamony and then it seems to get a little more tart but ends up going down smooth and sweet. This is a nice one I really like the tarty smoothness for all those in your face fans out there if you like hibiscus and cinnamon this one is dynamite! I like it I don’t know how often I will find myself drinking it but I do quite like it!

Whoa… your 1st paragraph made me exhausted! It’s times like these when I have prebagged or my own filled bagged teas ready to just plop in a cup.
LOL yeah and that was only half the story after waiting in line for him he then begged to go to ihop and it was 11:00 and so I sat in the parking lot at Ihop till midnight then ate fast food and went to sleep. Did I mention I hate fast food.
Thanks for reviewing this tea:-). I’ve been eyeing it ever since I joined as well. I keep choosing other rishi teas over it as I am so well stocked on tisanes right now but it sounds great! Plum teas have really interested me lately although I’ve never eaten a plum in my life!
Cofftea, The ihop is pretty small and there were over 200 8th graders in there! Secondly I’m not cool enough to hang out with my 14 year old and his friends (this year) this changes as he gets older and also is related to his personal convenience such as if I need to pay or if girls aren’t around it’s complicated being 14 ya know (or I should say you remember?) LOL :)
Oh ok, I thought it was a small group of friends- not the whole class! Now I get it=P If there had been room though I wouldn’t have let a 14 year old dictate where I ate. Unfortunately I don’t remember… at that age I had absolutely no friends of my own gender let along guys.
Congrats on the big 100. And I know what you mean, my 6 year old already doesn’t want me to kiss him in front of his friends. They’re so nice when they’re babies. Lol.
@Morgana Thank you ;) -Babies are overrated (in my book) I like someone who can go to the restroom on their own unfortunately they usually have the ability to speak at this stage as well LOL and just kidding. You haven’t truly lived until you go through these teenage years and that’s not necessarily a good thing. My son is a good kid but ugh the emotional roller coasters are CRAZZYY! Love ya one minute hate ya the next.
Heh. I like the floppy neck stage. But it is a lot of fun when you can actually have a conversation, though with the ability to talk also comes the ability to back talk.
