I really like this one. It’s so light and fresh.

There’s a lot of mint, melon and bubblegum sweetness on the nose, but steeped I wouldn’t describe the taste as sweet. It’s meloney, cooling and refreshing. From the mint I don’t get a lot of mint flavour, just this beautiful cooling sensation, which makes me want to try this iced on the hottest summer days.

Flavors: Fruity, Melon, Mint, Sweet

I love this tea, it is definitely one of my favorites. And you’re right, the flavor is a bit tough to describe!:] P.S. It is wonderful iced! :]

David’s has the Watermelon Mint solos on sale for 40% off right now. I picked up two today – 170g for just over $10 :D

I was also very excited when this came out, because I’d had the melon mint tea from Gurmano Tea ages ago, and it was amazing, but I don’t like ordering from over seas unless I’m going to get enough stuff to justify shipping. This is very similar, though at least it doesn’t look like that one is going anywhere if I need more melon mint in the future. http://www.gurmanotea.co.uk/190004/melon-mint

That is such and incredibleeee deal. Wowza. If I had money to spare, I’d be all over those! Unfortunately, have to save up for my nursing certification..Not allowed to buy a thing until that gets paid no matter how inexpensive! oh, pooh bears. When I run out of this, I’ll just have to live through your tasting notes of it! :D tehehe.

Oh, man. That sounds incredible!!! :D Hopefully it stays around for my mid-winter I really do need some summertime magic moments. If you decide to order some of this, I look forward to your tasting note on it! :D

I grew up drinking jasmine green tea with meals, but really fell in love with tea on a trip to Britain in elementary school. My first great love was Earl Grey, and I still adore it and all its variants.

I discovered the beauty of loose leaf tea much later, when, on impulse, I picked up a few teas that were on clearance at a home store. My introduction to loose leaf teas were Masala Chai and Provence Rooibos by the Metropolitan Tea Co and an unknown brand of kukicha and gyokuro (little did I know what a precious treasure I’d stumbled onto with that.)

At the time I was lucky to live in a place with multiple tea shops and several places to have afternoon tea, which is a delight I still miss.

Tea is part of my daily ritual and a nice, affordable way to appease the collector in me.

I enjoy distinctive whites, greens and oolongs, flavoured blacks, and herbals that are heavy on the citrus, lavender or mint.

Rating rubric, to give myself some consistency:
0-15 Yuck, not even drinkable.
16-30 Disappointing, not really inclined to give it a second try.
31-45 Disappointing, but maybe there’s potential? Worth one more try, prepped differently.
46-60 Mediocre, not terrible but not memorable.
61-75 Not bad. I’ll definitely finish what I have and might buy again.
76-90 Very enjoyable. Tasty, complex, it’ll keep me coming back.
91-100 BEST! I love everything about it and I will drink it forever.

Beyond tea, I’m a sex educator, polyamory activist, and radical queer. I love backwoods camping, abstract painting, baking & cooking, nail polish, cats, ceramic sculpture, and home nesting.
