59 Tasting Notes
I received this as a free sample from my last Davids Tea order. I steeped it for about 2 minutes at 200 F as based on the reviews below they indicated the tea was really strong so I didn’t want to steep it for long. I found it tasted fishy like it tastes similar to my omegas 3 vitamins i take in the morning. Glad I only had a small sample of this rather than 50g. I am sure there are people who love this.
I have been trying to limit my caffeine consumption and as a result I have not had this tea for about a month and a half. This morning I thought I would treat myself and take it in my travel mug to work. I prepared it as I usually do and then I remembered that someone suggested adding a bit of brown sugar…..all I can say is wow, it is just so much more tasty! I did not think that was possible but it is :)
Everytime I get a hint of a sore throat I drink this tea and all symptoms disappear. I don’t know if its the tea or me believing its the tea (mind over matter) but whatever it is, I am not going to question its ‘powers’. Plus the tea smells and tastes great :)
I was excited about this tea – lemon, mint and oolong – my three favorite things :) I find the aroma while its steeping slightly floral which is weird. Before posting my thoughts on this tea I figured I should try it a few times as I found I was not getting much mint flavor but rather just lemon and a bit of oolong. I have tried different steeping times but it does not seem to matter as the tea is pretty consistent in the lack of mint taste. So my overall thought is the tea is okay but not exactly what I was expecting and likely when my 26g bag runs out I will not re-buy.
