I don’t normally add anything to teas that aren’t chai, but I think that if a new tea smells or tastes like it might be good with creamer I should try it at least once. Vanilla coffee creamer(I ran out of vanilla silk) made this tea extremely coconutty and dessert-like. Delicious, but in the future I won’t add creamer to it.
60 Tasting Notes
I stuck my nose in the sample package and-suntan oil! That’s not a bad thing, but it’s dead on-SPF 4 (really? 4?) basting oil. The flavor is wonderful, none of the ingredients outshine the others at all. I will buy more of this soon!
Yea! My NecessiTeas samples came today! Decided to try this one first. It smells wonderful and tastes great as is, but I will be sure to put some vanilla silk creamer in and see what that’s like before I rate this tea.
Stronger brew=much better! I’d like it better if there was less cinnamon and it had just a bit of black pepper, but it’s still good!
Thanks to LiberTEAS for so many samples, and generous ones at that! I’m just “Meh” about this chai, maybe if I brew it stronger that will change. But as of right now it hasn’t knocked Tazo Chai off it’s pedestal. It is better than the Twinnings though!
2nd steep was very weak but it was still pleasant enough for me to drink.
Awesome tea! Thank you LiberTEAS, this one is definitely going my list of teas I don’t want to be without! Very easy tea to prepare, it was still yummy after I forgot to take the teaball out of my mug for about 20 minutes!
Hooray! Thanks, LiberTEAS, for sending me this! I really like it and it’s a GREEN tea! I have had trouble finding a green tea that doesn’t taste bitter or isn’t dry, this solves that plus it has the beautiful addition of jasmine!
Another tea from the generous box of samples that LiberTEAS sent me! The super-long reviews say it all, this tea is amazing! This is the flavor that Stash Teas Chocolate Hazelnut WISHES it had! I have to try it with vanilla Silk next cup!
I wanted to try this tea and LiberTEAS said “POOF! Here you go!” :) Maybe I need to try changing the steeping time or something because with this first cup all it tasted like was chocolate coffee-? It was good chocolate coffee though!
Smelled like black licorice (not my fave) to me, but tastes like NOM! So good, and I’ve never cracked a Harry Potter book :) Thank you LiberTeas!
LiberTEAS sent me a sample of this, thanks to her I get to try a whole smorgasbord of teas! I’m not too crazy about this one. It’s ok, but I think that something should be stronger, either the lemon or the ginger, wouldn’t matter to me which one. I would drink this again if offered (and I will finish the sample) but I wouldn’t purchase.
First off I’d like to thank LiberTEAS for sending me a sample of this! The smell is amazing and it makes me think of some dessert that I had when I was a kid but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s a very smooth chocolatey tea but I don’t taste anything that says chai, although I do smell the cinnamon with the cocoa powder. I think I will leave this without a rating for now because it tastes good but I just had spaghetti and the garlic is messing with the flavor of the tea. I know I like it, just not sure how much yet. :)
I am not a fan of this tea at all, I don’t taste pineapple and the lychee flavor tastes “off” to me.
This is a nice caffeine free tea, the balance between the vanilla and apple was just right. A nice after dinner tea.
No notes yet.
Just burned my tongue drinking a combo of one bag of this and one bag of tazo chai, just thought I’d share…the combo tastes good, despite my pain!
So good with Silk vanilla creamer, and most of the time I leave the bag in when I drink it. Sometimes I really want a strong cup so I use 2 of the bags and leave them in.
Two bags of this with 7 oz water in my travel mug. I have no idea what temp the water is, as I still haven’t invested in a thermometer let alone any tea gadgets beyond a tea ball. So sad. Anyways, I add a splash of Silk French Vanilla coffee creamer and drink in the awesomeness. I love chai. I want to try many more chais, but I plan on keeping this one unless something that DOESN’T take half my paycheck turns out to taste better and knocks the Tazo off it’s high horse. It’s not as good as the local coffee shop’s Chai, but I’m PRETTY sure it’s about a million calories less too, so I’ll take it.
Two boxes of twenty bags for five bucks. Almost out of the Tazo organic chai. Been drinking the tazo chai all week and I am drinking the twinnings now. The cinnamon is overpowering everything else, so I am a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I really like cinnamon, but I want chai right now and I’m getting red hots. You know, the cinnamon candy? Oh well, it’s still tasty and I will be getting my Necessiteas samples next week, so until then-bring on the red hots!
Yet another green tea that is taking up real estate in my cupboard…bitter, dry, lifeless.
It was good while it was steaming hot, had to dump it after it cooled down. Glad this was given to me because it would have been a sad waste of tea money.
It’s ok, the raisin-y flavor is a bit too much for me, and I oversteeped the &@$! out of it so the stomachache it gave me is what I get for being too lazy to take the bag out of my thermos before drinking it! I won’t buy this again but I will finish the tin or swap a handful of bags. I really am trying to not hate green tea!
Curse you, Tazo Sampler! I mixed one bag of this with one bag of Awake so I could tolerate it, but it’s definitely not winning my vote.
