This one came out pretty bitter and harsh for me… So I iced it and added juice to it. Much better. I don’t think I could drink it straight up, just didn’t taste good.

drank Earl Grey Tea by Teatulia Teas

This was such a tasty tea! I have a soft spot for Earl Greys and this one was done right. It’s got crisp and strong flavor. It was in my Rip van Wafel tea and wafel subscription box for this month of September and this may be my favorite box so far. It has this paired with the cocoa wafel and they taste awesome together.

As far as a rooibos dessert tea goes it tastes like it should I guess. I’m not a big fan of rooibos and you can really taste it in this tea. I do get chocolate taste but I get like a medicinal taste from the rooibos. Thanks Good Life Tea for the sample!

If you like hibiscus then you’d probably like this. It smelled like a fruit snack and I brewed it hot, it was generically fruity and super tart. I don’t add sugar to my tea so it was too tart for me. Maybe would have been better iced. Thanks Good Life Tea for the sample!

drank Cream of Earl Grey by Good Life Tea

I got this sample from Good Life Tea (thanks!) It’s good but not something I’d buy later. The smell was very fruity, the taste is smooth and mellow. Tasty enough but a little muted for me. Seems like a good tea for like an afternoon snack time.

Hmm, I’ve never had a lavender earl grey before and I’m not sure I really like it. The taste and smell of the lavender is super strong when I brewed it. I’m going to try it as an iced tea next. In it’s little sachet it seems like it’d be nice to keep a bag around to scent my room… :)

drank SBT: Vanilla Cola by 52teas

Yay! Tastes good. Oh my goodness, this is such a busy week. This is a good tasting tea because I could tell what it was even when I’d forgotten what it was, till I got home to check. I love my hydroflask, still cold iced tea even at the end of the day in the car in Hawaii. I went to help with the food/supply distribution for peoples still trying to get by after the ‘tropical storm’ after work today. Cannot believe how lucky we are to have power and water when so many still do not.

drank Cookie Dough by DAVIDsTEA

This was a nice tea for my breakfast. It smells yummy and tastes good. I dunno if it all reminds me of cookie dough but it’s vanilla-y and sweet. There was an oily film on the top of the water but it didn’t affect taste at all.

drank Special Dark by Mandala Tea

This was good today, taking advice from other steeping notes I steeped it long. Then it was more of a bitter dark chocolate type of taste. Uniform and dark throughout. About half through, I added some creamer to see how it would be and it tasted pretty awesome. I don’t see this as a regular one for me but it’s good. On a happy note, Hurricane Iselle took forever to downgrade but did just before landfall since the winds dipped below 70mph and it went a bit south. So it wasn’t so bad in Hilo as we thought it could be, winds were little scary and we lost power for a few hours but definitely fortunate compared to people in the harder hit areas. Not as prepared as I thought, next time need to buy batteries for the radio lol.

Hello! I am loving reading tasting notes and discovering a whole world of teas. My favorite type is definitely black teas. I prefer flavored, dessert types. I love sample sizes so I can try a little of each and have had fun swaps :). My bank account has been crying since I found steepster but I’m trying to exercise (find) some restraint and it helps that I know I’m not alone lol.
