335 Tasting Notes
I love Cookie, it smells yummy and tastes bakey too. I got this teabag from the newsletter a while back. I used to buy this one in college, I’d kind of forgotten until I opened it up and smelled it. If I didn’t already have so much tea then I’d go get some of this next time I go up to Honolulu. I’m getting a lingering mellow vanilla taste which is totally going well with my pastry breakfast. It is really good with milk too.
This is the first tea I opened from the Amoda Tea box (which I subscribed for just cuz of the special Butiki Tea blends). I really love this tea, the smell and taste are yummy and very holiday eggnog like with the cream and nutmeg. All the cups of this I’ve had have been enjoyable. I’ll be sad when my little bag is all gone…. which will be soon.
Had this for my morning tea with cookies. This is a good dessert tea but better to go short on the steeping time, I left my first cup for a tad of 3 minutes and it was too much, bitter. This second cup hits the spot, slightly sweet and creamy chocolate taste. I love the weekend so sad that tomorrow is Monday… but on the plus side, my Verdant Tea Black Friday order should be coming in :)
So this is IT for my bag of Yu Lu Yan Cha Black that I’d bought last year from Verdant Tea. It’s been fun, I’m sad to see you go but excited since I totally bought a lot of tea from this year’s Black Friday sales! This tea iced or hot is good but I made less mistakes cold brewing than hot. At times, I think I steeped too long and it got a little bitter and hard to drink a lot of… but I like the dark, little chocolaty taste of it and it’s got a nice strong taste.
