41 Tasting Notes
I was looking for a tasty treat so I brewed this and added a spoonful of honey with almond and coconut milk. It’s warming and spicy, perfect for this rainy and soaky weather… I like that this is a rooibos, my sleep schedule is already quite upset as it is I don’t need to add caffeine on top of it.
The main flavours are cinnamon, cardamon and nutmeg.
Flavors: Cardamom, Cinnamon, Nutmeg

Definitely one of the best Earl Grey I’ve ever had: it tastes fresh and natural. As with all good black teas you can drink it plain or with sweetener. I would actually recommend not adding anything to this one, to enjoy the more delicate and subtle flavour!
Flavors: Bergamot, Malt
Very good Irish breakfast, with malt and honey notes.
I steeped it for a good 7 min and it didn’t even get slightly bitter.
I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase because I prefered the Canadian Breakfast from the same brand but this is still very good, with or without a splash of milk.

So, I was really excited when The Teaguy offered to send me a few samples to review. It’s one more option for me, here in Canada, besides David’s and Camellia Sinensis (and sometimes Teavana), plus they have a very large selection of organic teas which is a major advantage for me (my boyfriend told me about this show where they tested for pesticides in the teas and most of them were above the safe limits, so I always try to pick organic teas whenever I can from now on…)
The package arrived yesterday, right on time for my finals revision week… (bleh) It’s so hard to stay inside and study when it’s finally getting warm and sunny outside…
The tea smelled slightly different than other breakfast blends I tried. I checked the ingredients list, and I think it’s because of the Keemun: it smells a bit peppery which intrigued me. I had the first cup plain and it’s already very good like this: there is no bitterness.
But then I had to add some cream and sugar because this is how I prefer to drink my breakfast blends!
I wasn’t sure if I’d like the Keemun but it’s actually a really nice addition, the smokiness/pepperiness gives it a distinctive taste without being too overpowering and it blends well with the honey notes and maltiness from the Assam.
All in all, it’s a very easy drinking cup, very smooth, the whole teapot disappeared in less than 20 min… I’m pretty sure I will repurchase once I’ve finished my sample.
So now back to more revisions… and more tea drinking!

Making a 2 am tea tasting session with my roommate… I made her taste my Youthberry and Orange Blossom blend and we tried her Gold Rush. She doesn’t like it so that means I have one new tea in my stash.. Yeah!
I think it tastes delicious, so creamy and caramelly!
Flavors: Caramel
This is too weak for my bad taste buds. I’m going to let it cool down a bit and see if more flavours come out. It’s too bad.. the dry leafs smell delicious but the taste is pretty bland.
Flavors: Orange, Tart

Basically this tea is like drinking a liquid cinnamon heart. It warms your insides! Not bad but it’s almost too cinnamony… I prefer when chais have a little more complexity. I will have to try it with milk too, for now I’ve just added a few pieces of rock sugar
Flavors: Cinnamon

I tried two new teas today and so far so good :) this one reminds me of the mint tea my Moroccan friend used to make, with moroccan pastries hmmm! I don’t really taste the citrus, but it’s very minty. Definitely good if you have a sore throat :)
