It’s dreamy creamy. It is everything the Quangzhou Milk Oolong is but richer and more fragrant with its vanilla cloud of steam. I often alternate between this, Monk’s Blend or the Quangzhou if I want to just relax and write in my gratitude journal. Or read Poldark. Mostly reading Poldark…alright I admit I can’t get enough of the series. I am onto book 9 of 12. It is a fairly long one I do admit this as well.

But…upside as each TV season covers two books we are in for at least six seasons. (Yes, I do love me my PBS Poldark. Season 2 premiers just in time for my birthday in September~~). Winston Graham has such a poetic way of writing and he is quite a visual writer, very descriptive. I love his writing. T’is as rich as the tea I would suppose. Haha. Happy drinking everyone and happy reading.

drank Monk's Blend by DAVIDsTEA

If you love the Quangzhou Milk Oolong this takes the flavor up a notch. With the addition of Jasmine it is very calming and soothing after a long day of exercising and managing all the little daily tasks life brings. I find also when I am in need of a bit of creative inspiration I need just to steep a pot of this and I get that good feeling needed. You really do almost feel like a Monk with this tea I find, haha.

A more subtle and natural flavor than the Raspberry teas that some can find in a big box store. Or in those Iced tea bottles (that have too much sugar). It was a delicious choice for the Mother’s Day collection. I bought some for my mom for her birthday (which fell on the same weekend) and for myself and we both loved the lightness. It blends perfectly with the Lemon Pound Cake tea. It tastes great hot and cold due to its lighter flavor nuances. It is also very calming thanks to the Chamomile. I love it.

drank Lemon Pound Cake by DAVIDsTEA

It’s been awhile since I wrote a review. So I hope everyone enjoys. After finding out I was type two Diabetic in January I have embraced tea even more (if possible, especially after a 20 minute jog). Being able to enjoy cake via tea has been amazing. Especially when it comes to the classic refreshing lemon pound cake that I loved for afternoon tea. It has the creamy flavor of a Quangzhou milk Oolong but with the lemony twist that is so heavenly for the summer.

It takes all the flavor nuances up a notch I find. It tastes great hot and is a lovely iced tea as well. I have also tried this blended with the Raspberry Jam tea to emulate Starbucks’ Lemon Raspberry loaf to a fairly successful match. Magnifique.

You totally sold me on this! It’s great to see you around, and I’m so sorry to hear that you’re diabetic. :(

I’m glad that it did so. And thanks. It was a little surprising at first but it became just about making a life change. Adding jogging to my dancing schedule, counting carbs and writing a gratitude journal. All fairly manageable. Testing 4 times a day isn’t too bad either. I am on pills now rather than Insulin which makes it all the better. So it has been a fairly positive experience. I’ve even lost weight from the change. :)

You are taking the news well! Good for you for taking charge of your health and having a positive attitude!

drank Oolong Supreme by DAVIDsTEA

The buttery rich flavor of Oolong Supreme really caters to the taste buds nicely. I found this one tasted even better during a second or third steeping. It’s very soothing on a sensitive stomach so as I recovered the tea made it easier to take meals. I can imagine that later on that this tea would make a great travelling partner for photo shoots. In the meanwhile I’ve been drinking it while reading fantasy novels. Which in a way is kind of like travelling without having to leave the house. Haha. Happy tea drinking everyone.

drank Pouchong Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

With a bit of a Summer cold because of the sudden change in the weather it was great to have two new Oolong teas to try. Of the two the lighter plum notes of this one was very therapeutic to the senses and made it nice to drink during the recovery period. It helped to give a needed boost of energy for the times I wasn’t resting in bed. I would recommend this to anyone who was after a refreshing and healing tea.

drank Cherry Snowcone by DAVIDsTEA

If you love the very rare and limited “Cherry Blossom” you’ll absolutely dig the caffeine free version of “Cherry Snowcone”. In dry mix form it also has that cuteness factor with the snow flake sprinkles. It has a very lovely fragrance and will appeal to those who enjoy a mild fruity tea with a flavorful twist.

It does well as a tea pop and the flavor is not lost while enjoyed as an iced tea. For those who still love their teas hot, it is very soothing to the senses. I can bet that this will be a tea that can branch over the seasons. Picture “Indian Summer” and you can probably get the idea. Cheers!

Happy Summer everyone. It’s been awhile hasn’t it, I hope you all are well. With the photography business in full swing and the nice weather finding subject matter to shoot has been at a high. It has also brought travel opportunities to the forefront. That being said what better to bring along on those shoots and locations than good old David’s tea and their amazing blends.

This one in particular is a nostalgic reminder of Movie night minus the caffeine kick. It’s lovely and sweet for the taste buds. The soft pink hue and the scent also add a nice sensory twist on a hot day. I could imagine being by the water with this in my travel mug and sipping the blend happily while scoping out a good angle. Very inspiring and fun!

drank Rhubarb Chai by DAVIDsTEA

A little bit spicy and warming yet comforting all at the same. A fitting description of a mother and a fitting description of this tea. I picked this one up in the specialty tin and have enjoyed each cup of the delicious brew. As it is one of their rarities I have been rationing it as well. Much like I do for their Cherry Blossom tea blend. If you have this one I recommend trying it iced for the Summer as the flavor notes will make for a nice cooling effect on the body after a long day out on the trails/beach. Cheers!

Being a fan of Macaroons and French Macarons it really made me curious to see how this tea would compare. The combination of pecans, cacao and coconut really worked well in the black tea. It was rich yet had a lightness to it like the cookies that the tea is named for. It was a great addition to the Easter sample collection and whet the appetite for the official launch on the Thursday.

It also provided a nice reminder of an old favorite “Toasted Walnut”. So if you like that blend you’ll be happy to try this one. For iced tea fans, I think you’d be able to drink this cold but this really is one meant for the more hotter side of the spectrum. Cheers!
