drank Peppermint by Adagio Teas

Not quite a pure tasting note because I used the hot tea to make peppermint hot chocolate but that was amazingly delightful. Just thinking of it makes me want more. It was the best peppermint hot chocolate I have ever had.

Mixed feelings. I enjoy cinnamon but this was a lot of cinnamon. It masks the other flavored to the point of hiding them which is sad but cinnamon is happy. So no rating for now.

drank Dragonfruit Devotion by Teavana

This one was much more than I expected it to be. It smells heavenly from the moment you open the bag and the taste follows the expectations that the smell tastes. It is my favorite teavana tea of those I have tasted so far.

It has a specific taste which I imagine must be dragon fruit, I haven’t had the priviledge of trying it. The lemon grass was surprisingly present as was a bit of a spice at the end.

I just got this in the big 75% off sale. I’m excited to try it!

That’s where I got it too! My order from adagio just came in and I’m so excited to try those too.

Certainly has spices and caffeine, does it take the way my mom’s does? No, but I also didn’t expect it to. I may have to try this one again with milk and sugar, made the way it traditionally is. The spices do have a nice kick though, which was better than I expected and it smells heavenly.

I wasn’t certain if I would like chocolate and orange together. They are both normally flavors I enjoy though. I’ve decided I enjoy it. There’s a subtle chocolately feel to the tea which has a definite orange flavor. However, the tea is rather murky and has oil spots which makes it not as appealing to look at.

The tea smells of raspberry and I can certainly see pieces of pineapple, but I only tasted a vague fruitiness. Perhaps if I use more leaves next time, though I did use the recommended amount, I will get more flavor.

I’m withholding a rating on this tea but it truly seemed like a hot cup of cherry amaretto to me, not ginger coconut. I will try again while increasing the amount of leaves. I did 2 tsp for 13 oz and it certainly was not enough. However, I imagine that iced, this would be a wonderful cherry amaretto substitute or perhaps as a mixed drink.

The second steep of this tea is certainly more along the lines of an oolong. Perhaps this is since herbal teas do not tend to re-steep well but oolong will and thereby that was the flavor captured. There is still a hint of the the other flavors. The rose is prominent, with the strawberry and champagne playing subtle but certain background notes. It’s now softer rather than the bubbly feeling it had earlier. Perfect for the evening or late afternoon when you want to curl up. I left this cup cool halfway through drinking it and its delightful cool as well. I’m looking forward to trying this tea iced.

This tea was pleasant, almost delightful. The smell of tea is wonderful- reminiscent of potpourri. The tea itself hints to a bubbly quality and smells of rose as well. For a first cup, it left me with a smile but I’m still a little ambivalent. Definitely an evening tea as well as a tisane and not an oolong.

The tea looks just like the picture. There are delightful pieces of dried banana as well which I suspect affects the flavor but there is not enough for a piece per cup which is disappointing.

If you are making this tea be very careful not to let it steep too long, it tends to get oily if you do. I had to toss my first cup because of this so I’m holding off on rating until I do.
