I’m researching the London part of our upcoming honeymoon. There are so many options for day trips from London! It’s really hard to choose. We have it narrowed down to include at least Bath and Stonehenge. Now we have to decide between adding Windsor (with Lacock optional), Salisbury, or a mystery UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I’m leaning toward the mystery. I normally don’t like not knowing when it’s about something as important as a trip abroad. But the company who offers that tour is rated very highly, and everyone says you’ll definitely enjoy the mystery site. So, I don’t think I’m really taking a risk. I really want to see Windsor, but I also want to give it the amount of time it deserves. Most people agree you can spend half a day to an entire day there. So, I think I’ll save that one for our next trip to England.

ON TO THE TEA!

This was a free sample with my online DAVIDsTEA purchase from a while back. I really dislike banana-flavored things. So, I’m confident that this will not be a winner for me. The dry leaf aroma was nice and fruity with coconut and banana being the most recognizable scents. The brewed tea aroma was, again, mostly coconut. The tea was very oily and scummy. It looked a lot like chicken broth.

Hmm, the banana is fairly light in this. Mostly, I can taste almond, apple, coconut, and then a hint of banana. Phew! I don’t know how I managed to avoid banana in a banana-flavored tea, but I did! I suppose that should be a negative thing since this tea is called Copa_banana_ and people buying it are likely looking for a prominent banana taste. But for me, this worked out nicely in my favor.

I should note that the more I drink it, the more I get that scratchy feeling at the back of my throat that I sometimes get with DAVIDsTEA blends containing Stevia or artificial flavoring. Nevertheless, I quite like this cup, especially after the abominable Coffee Chai. Who knew this would be drinkable?!

Entering the sweet blissful world of tea aromas!

Having discovered this website at the end of July 2011, I’m so excited to share my tea adventures with all of you! I grew up with my grandmother serving Twining’s English Breakfast with cream and sugar.

But on a trip to Seattle in 2010, I stumbled into a Chinese teashop and tried my first oolong tea. I was forever changed! I embarked on a startling new love for green and white teas.

With a world of teas to discover, I was inspired to keep a tea journal to record my thoughts and new favorites. Let’s get brewing!


My ratings are completely subjective and 100% my opinion. All ratings are given in relation to each other (ie. teas are rated in the order of my enjoyment of them). Therefore, my ratings will constantly change as I try more teas.


I love swapping!!! If you see something in my cupboard you’d like to try, just send me a message. If you’d like to trade, anything on my shopping list will do or feel free to send something else entirely. I’m willing to try almost anything (although I’m not really a fan of honeybush, red rooibos, pu’erh, Lapsang Souchong, & banana-flavored teas).
