drank Coconut Cream Chai by Tealish

Made the mistake of mixing this one with a chai that had rooibos in it. Made it way too sweet!
This is one of my fave chais though, I’ll be back for it!

We had a good run, cherry cheesecake green.
You were tasty. Creamy and sweet!

Man this sounds like it would have been good. Well before my steep steer days though heh I’d guess

I definitely feel like I’ve had it forever – it’s been about a year I think lol. Talk about savouring, oh my!

Not bad, actually pretty tasty for a bagged rooibos. Nice and lemony and spirit lifting :)

Wow I also have to highly recommend this delicious oolong!

I got the $1 pack from DT and steeped it for 5 minutes in my perfect mug. I haven’t had the chance to try multiple short steeps, but I did resteep the leaves for another 5 minutes after. Oh bliss!

A hint of mineral/rocky flavour and texture all wrapped up in a sweet blanket of rock sugar (let’s stick with the rock theme!) and it.. um.. ROCKS! I’m not getting any bitterness with 185 degree water – but definitely some sort of spice. Not getting any floral notes at all.. hmm what is that spice… it definitely has a kick! I’ll keep thinking about it :)

DT seems to be stocking on new unflavored teas lately, that’s a good thing, think I’ll put this one on my list…

Yes, of all of the ones that came out, you do want to try this one for sure!

Yeah this one is legit!

Okay, I finally got the recipe up!
So this is the recipe I tried for my first attempt at Zombie Gingerbread Men – of course ALL credit goes to aisling of tea for this incredible idea! You rock my world, gal pal ;)

The ginger flavour was very prominent, and I did sprinkle them with some Madagascar vanilla matcha, which I think remains my favourite matcha to bake with.

I love the accidental creepy face- very fitting for ingredients that were about to become zombie gingerbread men

I am lucky friends!
Our DT in the mall received this by mistake! They have to send it back because they don’t have a tin for it – but in the meantime… we get to drink it! And buy it… so it’ll probably be gone in no time and they will have nothing to send back. Yay!

It is SO good! I was a little scared because I got it to go, but then headed downstairs and had to do a bunch of work errands, so it had steeped fr about an hour. O_O Took a sip to prepare for the bitterness – of which there was none.

There was a sweetness, like honey! There was a maltiness and a smooooothness from the yummy black base – and a brightening sharpness from the jasmine. I say sharpness, but actually the Jasmine is really the perfect amount. It doesn’t overwhelm, it just dances along with the rest of the notes and makes me happy.

I need these in my life! No money though (I got my mug for $1 with the promo!) – but I’ll have to make an online order in time and I might just pop some of this in it. mm!

Spring Garden got them too (for good!) Just a heads up – I just went in and picked some up. Expensive, but light and the sales assistant said that 2 pearls will do a cup!

niiice! Oh I can totally see that – I had 5 pearls for my rather large travel press and it was more than enough. I bet they last forever if you keep re-steeping them too!

Thanks for the heads up, now I know where I can get my fix ;) Now.. to find that genmai hojicha…

None of the Halifax ones have the Gyokuro Black which bums me out.

I made some cookies today with this one!
I didn’t think they were that good, but the people I brought them for loved them! I’ll put a “recipe” up on the blog soon – at least they were fun to play with!

Ohhh nice! Can’t wait to see the recipe!

ooooh I want gingerbread matcha cookies!! or at the very least your recipe :D

I’m giving all idea credit to aisling of tea in my post – I’ll get the recipe up today! It could definitely work for any flavour matcha… ohhhh maple matcha cookies with maple frosting anyone?

Okay – so after receiving my KaiMatcha and tasting that amazing flavour – I was craving more of it!
Just one sniff of the dry leaf of this great quality Gyokuro was enough to know that this would cure my umami craving.

I made a huge 40oz pot of it (huge because I was all by myself lol) and starting drinking it like it was going out of style. Oh my – so savoury. It tasted like fresh green grass, but it wasn’t at all bitter. There was a slight astringency at the end of the sip – but oh so slight (I brewed at 175 for 2 mins!)

The scent was so fresh and summery – this is a very special tea. I can’t wait to try the method of brewing with just the tea leaves and icecubes. That concentrated flavour is exactly what I’m craving!

the ice method is one I have yet to try…must say it does intrigue me but for some reason, I never bring myself to do it!

aisling I’m not worthy! I’m not worthy!

Seriously. Thank you for this tea! I used the whole package and made two giant cups of iced pink goodness after a rousing game of Just Dance! I don’t care that it’s freezing outside, I’m sweaty and I want iced tea dagnabbit.

I didn’t remember there was no hibiscus so I put a giant squirt of agave. It does taste pink! This is easily one of my favourite fruit blends – I am ordering this next summer without fail.

Hey, you guys? Guys? Guys! Guess what?

I’m opening my very last pouch of my FAVOURITE 52teas flavour for a very special reason… I got a seasonal position at LUSH!

Caramel & cashews and delicious creamy chocolate bliss – I couldn’t be happier today!

Congratulations!! Are you in Shopping Centre or Micmac? Either way, that is the best smelling and freshest sounding job! : )

Congratulations! that’s great news :)

Thanks friends :D

I’m in the shopping centre! I applied to both, but I’m grateful for this one since I live in Clayton Park b^_^ woohoo!

Yay! Congrats!

Woo, congratulations! Love Lush.

Yay for you!!! I love LUSH. Their Fresh Farmacy soap is the only thing my daughter can use to wash her face (highly sensitive skin). Hope the Christmas craziness isn’t too much! :)

Thanks again everyone! :D
Yeah Christmas will be crazy haha – but so far it’s helping to memorize the products by relating them to tea. For example, I remember the scents of the Dragon’s Egg bath bomb because it’s like a citrus earl grey with lemon and bergamot oil. And Charity Pot has rose with helps with the skin, just like Glow from davidsTea! yeeah I don’t know if it’s helping or confusing me but hey – I’m trying!

Sounds like a good plan to me. =)

YAY! (My cat Woody says yay too — he’s walking all over the keyboard typing YAY to you ;)

SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! You get to sniff ALL the smellies! :D

Yay for the new gig! Congrats!!

Thank you! Yes I must smell them allll mwahah!

Aw Woody sure does know how to make a gal feel special ;)

How wonderful! Congratulations :)

I love LUSH! Awesome products. I’ll bet you get an awesome discount while you work there:)

Yay! Time to celebrate! Now you need a Ma Bar bubble bath with this tea to be in caramel heaven! :)

man, when I die, I better go to caramel heaven. I’ve been working all my life to get there! Until then, this tea and a caramel bath will do :D

CARAMEL BATH!!! Is that at lush? It sounds AMAAAAAZING!

It’s this one Ellyn, it’s good enough to eat!

OH MY GOSh that looks like a DELIGHT! I may have to go to the lush in the mall this weekend!

Congratulations! I know you really wanted to work there. :)

It is soooo good! Follow it with some Soft Couer…mmmmm!

You can call me Daisy.

I’m a 24 year old (not so budding) thespian – just moved to the Maritimes from the Saskatchewan Prairies. I’m way too polite, aka Proud to be a Canadian. I love it here by the water – it must remind me of tea or something ;)

My favourite tea companies are DavidsTea and Verdant Tea. They please my palette in different ways – and I love them both for it.

My rating system is as follows:
95-100: I will stock it as soon as I can, if I haven’t already! Permanent collection worthy.

86-95: I would stock this tea if I could, but my collection is just too full to warrant it. But it is that good.

76-85: This is a tasty tea and I will have many cups and share with friends, but won’t go out of my way to keep it stocked.

50-75: It was alright! It was… alright! Not horrible, but I might not re-steep.

25-50: Ew. But I will finish the cup.

1-25: Please no, I want to dump it.

The Steepster community is my safe place. Thank you to all my tea friends!
