Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls from Teavana
64

This was yet another gift from a friend. It is definitely floral, but definitely requires a longer steep than suggested. I’ve noticed when in an actual Teavana, their teas all seem to be super crazy mild in the samples. I think it’s because they steep at their own instructions and it produces a lesser quality brew.

In any case, this is an alright jasmine green overall. The jasmine isn’t overpowering, but neither is the tea. It’s extremely mild and ideal for my afternoons in the office as I power through my final hours of the day. Gotta have that final caffeine boost to pull me through.

Final word on the matter… I probably wouldn’t think to recommend it to someone unless they said, “Well, I sure do like those Teavana teas and I’m looking for a green tea with jasmine. Any suggestions?”

Scott I think Teavana’s teas are okay but when you walk into the stores they are sales happy all they care about is their quotas they have to make. This is just my humble opinion.

Interestingly enough, I had heard a lot about the sales-driven employees and, out of curiosity, went into a couple different Teavana locations. By pure chance, neither one of them really talked to me much.

However, their prices are high, their teas are just okay, and they flavor most of their flavored teas way too strongly, in my opinion. At this point, I only get their teas if they’re a gift or they’re on a big sale and I’m curious of the flavor.

Dinah, I feel the same way about RoT. Prices way too high for the quality (LACK of quality) in their teas.

There’s not a lot to say about me, I suppose. I’m a pretty standard nerdy girl in a lot of regards, from my taste in music, books, and movies to my penchant for getting completely wound up in various activities and hobbies. One of my hobbies that never seems to fade away is my joy in writing. I’ll write about any number of topics and have been working on keeping up my personal blog like never before.

Doing so has inspired, in part, my blog about Tea. Fun and FlirTea is dedicated to introducing tea to and enticing today’s younger, coffee-drinking generation. It’s a fun place to learn about tea and hopefully start meeting more people as well!

More than almost anything else, I enjoy sharing the things I love and helping spread that joy. So now it’s time for me to do this with tea, and I couldn’t be more excited!
