Lapsang Souchong from Harney & Sons

First day back to the museum job after a well deserved week-long vacation. So I made a pot of this to go to start the day off strong.
Well it turns out i was by myself at work because my co-worker and boss both called in sick. So when you drink 20oz of tea in the AM around 1pm you have to pee REALLY BADLY. And I couldn’t go because we had visitors in the museum. So i figured, when they leave, i go pee, won’t be long. right? WRONG. 4 hours later i was finally able to relieve my screaming bladder. People just kept streaming in to work. which is GREAT on any other day, and not a day where i have to pee for 4 hours.

I guess it was my fault for drinking all that tea this morning….

I got 8 hours of sleep last night for the first time in a long time. So I decided to brew some green tea this morning to keep up that cleansing feeling.
I love the smokiness to this tea. :)

Brewed some Assam this morning. It was probably not the bold wake up i need having it be my 17th day in a row of work, and 21st day of work this month, but it’s such a pleasant tea to sip on all day, that I couldn’t resist.

Yesterday was a horrible day at work. So today, I needed to start my work day with something strong. Lapsang Souchong is always a great bold tea to help you grab the bull by the horns and get stuff done.
I am in a fantastic mood today and i owe it to my 20oz pot of Lapsang Souchong.

A good tea for a stressful day. Bold flavors, but not overpowering. Also tastes good at room temp. Which leads me to believe this will be a good iced tea.

Rose Scented from Harney & Sons

Blech. This was one of the 3 teas I tried today in Harney Soho’s Valentine’s Day tea flight. I am not really a floral scent fan, so I was not really happy with this tea. The rose just doesn’t do it for me at all.

Tried this today at Harney Soho. They were having a Valentine’s Day tea flight.
This was the unflavored black tea in the 3 tea flight. I gave it a try and my taste buds did a bit of a dance. It is a very sweet tea. I felt like I was drinking Honey.
I was going to leave the store without buying it, got near the door and realized that I desperately wanted another taste of it, so I walked out with a 2oz bag.
This is a great addition to my cabinet.

It was an assam type of morning. I love this tea. SO much. I’m almost running out though, so it may be time to restock! I wish the price of this wasn’t so high, but it really is worth every penny.

A fantastic black tea. Nice strong flavors, which is something I am really liking in my teas lately.

Florence from Harney & Sons

Got a cup of this to go from HarneySoho today. I have never had it before but I am pleasantly surprised! I didn’t think I would like a tea that has a chocolate base, but it is oddly refreshing. I am not sure I will buy it to have in my cabinet, however, it was a very nice pick-me up this afternoon.

Queen Catherine from Harney & Sons

To set the scene:
9 degrees out on a New England Morning, I Doodleology wait outside my place of work to be let in. My boss, doesn’t hear my knocks, and the store phone would not pick up for another 45 minutes. I wait in the blistering cold for a good twenty minutes until my boss realizes I am at the door.
If it weren’t for Queen Catherine in my teapot, a scarf and my heavy gloves, i might have frozen to death.
My life seriously flashed before my eyes. (okay not really, but it was damn cold!!!)

Broke in my Curve 24oz Teapot today with my sister and a good friend. What a great tea for my teapot’s inaugural brew.

White Vanilla Grapefruit from Harney & Sons

Another pot of White Vanilla Grapefruit this morning. And today, I tasted the grapefruit. It’s in the aftertaste. It leaves a nice, clean slightly citrus taste on your tongue. This gives me even more reason to love this tea. :)

Finally picked up some more of this tea. I’ve missed it in my cup. (or teapot as it is nowadays) The flavors are so nice together. I always seem to miss the grapefruit in it. I know it is there because the vanilla isn’t as dominant as it could be. Maybe I need to steep it longer.
I am still trying to find the perfect brew time for white teas. This brew was 3 min. Any Suggestions on how long white tea should be brewed?

Paris from Harney & Sons

Rain, Sleet, Snow, Ice, and walking through ankle deep puddles in NYC. These things need a happy tea. Therefore, Paris is in my teapot this morning.

Big pot of this today. Had a headache for most of the late afternoon/evening. So a strong tea helps kick that. I cannot get over how wonderful the smokey aroma is of this tea. mmmmm

Queen Catherine from Harney & Sons

Brought a pot of this to work today for a Sunday retail shift. Things get crazy on the weekends so it is nice to have a strong black tea to get through the day.

Apricot from Harney & Sons

Took a hiatus from this after I drank too much of it around the holidays. It’s nice to have it back in my cup. mmm

Today was a morning for the Queen. I had to have a talk with my boss this morning that I was not looking forward to initiating. It came out okay. And having this in my teapot was a great comfort for the morning.

21 inches of snow. Hooray for the Snowpocolypse. (not). I am snowed in, working from home and drinking a pot of Lapsang Souchong. The smell of the tea is making me wish i was sitting by a roaring fire. But alas, I am not.
