drank Gingerbread by DAVIDsTEA

After making this tea 3 times on 3 different days, I am finally able to enjoy a hot cuppa tea.
I am quite impressed by this tea. Up until drinking this, I have not found gingerbread teas to be impressive. This one is sweet, subtlely spicy and even has undertones of molasses.
I never thought I would enjoy a rooibos tea as much as I do enjoy this one.
Thank you to CrowKettle for sending this my way:)

I love the aroma of this tea, but actually drinking it leaves much to be desired.

This has been my afternoon pick me up for the month of November. I really love the tart cranberry with uplifting citrus. Great with milk and sugar, even better plain!

Drinking this as someone recommended it during the last trimester of pregnancy. I like it better steeped at 15 minutes than I do at 10. And actually the one time I forgot about it for longer it tasted better. It has a semblance to a Ceylon black tea, and is an enjoyable cup for me. I will drink this until baby comes (she’s due 10/24!!!) and maybe for cramps and such down the road.

It seems odd to me that Raspberry Leaf would be recommended during pregnancy (even third trimester) because I’ve always understood it to be a big no-no, specifically in early months. Congratulations, though!!

Uniquity

That sounded weird, and of course I can’t edit it. I guess I’m wondering what the raspberry leaf does that’s beneficial in later months while it’s dangerous in early ones. If that makes sense!

Meghann M

I believe in the early months it is shunned due to risk of miscarraige, but I don’t remember why. I know many have recommended it in the third trimester for uterine muscle toning and overall uterus health. On the American Association of Pregnancy’s website it is an herb that is “considered safe” during pregnancy. That’s about all I know, though, and I am no doctor, so hopefully any other pregnant women would check with their dr before taking this tea.

Thanks for the info, Meghann. I did some extra research after as well and apparently this is one of those items that’s in hot debate. You’d think “we’d” have proven it one way or another by now. : )

drank Dewy Cherry by Adagio Teas

This is a great cherry flavored tea. Sweet and tart and yum just the way it is. I only steeped 3 minutes as the brew was getting very crimson, almost the color of a deep red wine.

This is my favorite of the adagio green rooibos blends. It has a light sweetness to it that tastes like apple juice and a hint of strawberry flavor. Nothing is over flavored, it just blends well with the natural green rooibos base. Can’t wait to try this iced! So delicous.

I’m really enjoying sampling the green rooibos teas from Adagio. This is the third flavor I’ve tried now. Only the Green Rooibos Key West is remaining.

This rooibos has a strong floral aroma with a sweet, nectar (think syrup from canned peaches) scent. In taste, i definitely taste a floral and nectar, but can’t pinpoint the flower. I bet this would be nice mixed with a jasmine green, for added floral taste. Although I do like most of my jasmine greens plain.

Brewed this up iced last night to enjoy with lunch today. I was quite surprised at how spicy this was. Granted, there are cardamom pods in this, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as noticable with the lemon and pomegranate flavors. I will certainly have to try this hot next go round as I think it would be more enjoyable for me that way.

Great evening tea to relax with. I really enjoy the tangy flavor I get as this cools. I LOVE the amount of coconut shavings and coconut flavor in this blend. DeLicIOUS!

Live in the cornfields of IL, but not too far from the city. Expecting a baby any day now (due Oct 24 2011). Sticking to mainly herbal and low caffeine teas for now. Trying to encourage my husbands tea drinking, but he adds so much sweetner he may as well just drink diet pop. I love trying new teas, and will try any tea once.
