230 Tasting Notes
Thank you Kallieboo! for sending me this sample. Almost everyone seems to love this tea, I am the anomaly…
The dry leaves smell AMAZING!
The color of the tea is a light amberish green.
The tea smells very fishy. Did I oversteep? It is past Vegetal and into the salty – brothy – and into fishy territory.
When I dumped the cup down the drain there was so much minty potential. Yet – it just did not work for me.
I used the directions on the package to brew this one. It ended up being a VERY dark brown color, almost like I was drinking black coffee. The flavors were VERY STRONG IN YOUR FACE and lacked any nuances. I will try with less time if I make this again. I do enjoy a hearty English Breakfast but this is not for me.
I drank this last night to relax. This is the second teabag I have had of this. I LOVE IT. I LOVE all cucumber teas I have tried For some reason – even though I drank it hot – this tea is very soothing. I liked it so much I went to order it online at the tea forte website. However, shipping is only free at $50.00 and I only wanted this one item. ALAS, I had a brainstorm! I looked on Amazon and they also had the loose leaf. With Amazon Prime I got it shipped to my house for free! YAY!
Has anyone else ordered tea from Amazon? I have purchased other tea forte items (kati cup) from amazon in order to utilize the prime shipping. Looking quickly I noticed some Art of Tea items as well as Teavana and Adagio on Amazon.
Back to this tea – To me this is calm in a cup.
This is my tea of the afternoon. My tea travel cup is so wonderous at holding a temperature that I made this tea at 6:00 Am this morning and it is still warm, even after sitting in my COLD car for hours and hours.
This tea really is fantastic. The flavors are so light, fruity and comforting. This really is a quality tea and I am thrilled it is in my collection.
