Another great find in my parent’s house. The honey and green tea go so well together. I’ll have to look into other honey greens. Yum!

Chocolate marshmallow awesomeness in a cup. I like this almost as much as Eight Candles. Della Terra’s black base is amazing. Always a good cup and never bitter. For me, the chocolate was the strongest flavor note with marshmallow playing a close second. Beautifully blended! Another win from Della Terra.
I’ve missed Steepster lately. It’s getting harder and harder for me to find time to post and read posts. Hope everyone is well. I plan to spend the next 20 minutes reading tasting notes :)
It’s a malty Monday morning :) This black manas is kicking my butt into gear!!
Wanted something dessert-like last night, so I made this amazing chai. Yogic really does it right!! I’m still craving it right now :)
Thought I’d give smokey teas a try again with this one. Still not loving it. My feelings about it have nothing to do with quality of tea, so I’m sure this is a good quality Russian Caravan. It has all to do with taste. It must be an acquired taste or something that just hits some people right. I’ll be passing this on to my dad who loves a good lapsang souchong.
What an interesting and beautiful tea. Cute little mandarin orange peels stuffed with beautiful white puerh tea.
I gave my leaves a rinse before brewing. I steeped it for a minute which I see was a bit long according to the directions here (no internet at home to check). Each sip brought different notes to light. My first sip tasted mostly like a white tea with a hint of orange at the end. By my last sip, I was tasting notes of honey and citrus. I can’t wait to try the brewing instructions suggested above and see what comes from that :)
Thanks, sissy, for sending me this!!
My sis is the best :) She sent me another tea care package! I have one going out to her tomorrow.
This was the first of the teas for me to try. I like the smooth mint flavor with the green. It soothed my dry raw throat. I could see this being my go to minty tea. Yum!
It has been a strange week without cable and internet. I’ve only had a chance to check out Steepster a few times. I’ve also not been drinking much tea this week. I think there’s some connection ;)
I’m at my parents and this was an option. I’m really digging the bright flavor and beautiful purple color. Drinking my 3rd cup as I type.
Enjoyed this last night while watching Love Actually. Thought they complemented each other well.
This reminded me so much of Della Terra’s Eight Candles. Caramel is much of what I smell and taste in the cup. The vanilla and caramel together make it taste like a toasted marshmallow. So creamy and delicious. Another tea to add to my shopping list. I may need to take another part time job to pay for my tea addiction :) 2 for 2 with Nina’s Paris!
Pausing from a very busy day to write something about this little bit of heaven I drank this morning. I had tried a hojicha from Den’s tea and loved it, so I thought I’d give this a try. It’s a nutty, toasty cup of awesome. I definitely will have a stash of this in my cupboard at all times. It tops my love of genmaicha.
Ok, back to work :)
So I have a tin of tea at church for when I need a cup of tea at work. It has genmaicha and I absolutely love genmaicha :)
Last week I brought some peach oolong with me in a sandwich bag to make. I had some left in the bag so I put the bag in my tea tin (without really thinking about what that would do to the taste of my genmaicha).
So this evening I made a cup of genmaicha and it was peach genmaicha. Surprisingly good. But not toasty genmaicha I was hoping for. C’est la vie.
On a totally different note, this is my last night on Steepster as I am giving up internet/cable until I pay off my student loans. You’ll be mostly seeing me post in the mornings :)
This tea really is dreamy! Caramel corn meets green tea in a wonderful carnival version of genmaicha. If I had to rename this tea, I would call it creamy caramel toasty popcorn.
Big thanks to Sophie and Laurent at Nina’s for this sample. I will definitely be purchasing this when I have a little extra $$ for tea. It will be a dessert tea staple in my cabinet.
Update: The cooler the tea gets the more caramel I taste. I bet this would be awesome iced. I MUST BUY THIS TEA!!! My cabinet demands this as a staple NOW!!
So excited to have caught the flash special at Whistling Kettle on this last week. I only have about enough for 2 more cups. Need to refill :) My love of green tea has grown with this, hojicha and genmaicha. All 3 will always be in my tea cupboard!
Tomorrow, I’m going to my favorite little tea spot for a free class on making your own tea journal. So cool! http://www.facebook.com/events/334497076655599/
I love this tart oolong. For my Happy365 photo today, I made a photo sheet of my tea making process.

This tea is beautiful as the leaves expand and unfurl in my Teaze Infuser. It was fun to put this photo sheet together.
This is one of the most beautiful teas I’ve tasted. The dry leaves and flowers are just lovely.
This is the strongest coconut flavored tea I’ve tasted. It has almost a buttery feel on my tongue. Loving it :)
I think it would make an excellent latte or iced tea.
Update: Made a foamy tea latte with second steeping. Yum!
2nd steep is so much better than first. It has an almost honey like flavor. I still think it is a great combo of English Breakfast and Oolong :)
This tea is such a comfort after a busy week. I love how smooth and vanilla-caramely it is. A delicious dessert before bed. An early bedtime is called for this evening.
New favorite peppermint/clove winter kind of tea. I love puerh and this blend is wonderfully spicy and earthy.
I’ve tried different temps and times but this tea still doesn’t do it for me. I think I’ll pass it on to a friend. She might have better luck.
No notes yet.
A delicious staple for a busy afternoon.
Needed a nice strong malty tea tonight and this hit the spot! In the past, I would have added milk and sugar, but I’m loving this all on its own.
My house is a disaster and what do I do? I reorganize my tea cabinet.
My sis sent me a sample of this last week. I love fun surprise packages in the mail. This loose leaf and the sachet Green Tea with Thai Flavors are quickly becoming a staple.
I am amazed at how much my taste in tea has changed in the last few months. I really enjoy green tea so much. I never thought I liked them. Sometimes quality of tea matters.
This was in a $2 sample pack I got from the Whistling Kettle. Of the six samples they sent, 4 were green. All have been great!
This is my first sencha as far as I know. It’s crisp and grassy. Yum.
