I could only detect coconut when drinking this tea. The other ingredients stand out in the scent of the dried leaves, but coconut overpowers in the final product. I’m not a huge fan of coconut, but it’s not a bad tea otherwise.

Favorite teas: Kukicha, Laoshan Green, Greens in general, Monkey-Picked white, Puerh, dark oolongs, the occasional green oolong so long as the floral notes aren’t too strong. . .
Least favorite (teas and flavors): Genmaicha, Earl Grey, Teas with strong floral flavor (esp. Jasmine) ginger, coconut. . .
My Rating System
90-100: My happiness depends on it => there will always be room for these teas in my cupboard.
80-90: Really Like it, not epic, but a likely cupboard staple. Or, rather, worthy of cupboard space if I have any to spare. Many teas fall into this category, but I certainly can’t own all of them all the time!
70-80:
I’ll have a cup if someone else already brewed some or if they ask me to brew it. Won’t be the first bag a reach for when I visit my tea station. Probably won’t buy again because, with so many awesome teas out there, there’s no reason to settle.
50-70: It was OK, but I probably won’t finish the bag/sample. I might have another cup before swapping or giving it away.
25-50: I (reluctantly) finished off a cup (or could have), but I won’t ever have another.
0- 25: Teas that provoke the response: “I better go brew something else quick or brush my teeth before the aftertaste kills me.” (exact rating based on degree of physical and psychological damage :) )
Yes, I know my rating ranges overlap. I did this on purpose because sometimes I am in between opinions for a particular tea.
I rate all of my teas for personal reference. I want to be able to go back and review which particular greens, blacks, etc I liked better than others or be able to remember if I like a particular type of tea in general.
Note: When I include brewing temperatures with my tasting notes, 195deg is boiling at my altitude. So don’t think that I am making a point of brewing black teas less than boiling.
