Cinnamon Roll Honeybush from 52teas
63

The smell of both the dry and brewed leaves are warm and intoxicating! I smell lots of cinnamon and a little something gooey underneath. Once brewed the cinnamon came through sharp and in front. For half that cup it kind of just tasted like cinnamon water but after it cooled down some more I can taste something doughy underneath. I can’t really taste any sweetness (brown sugar or cream cheese) though which is a little disappointing. Overall it tastes pretty good though. Perhaps I should try adding some sweetener to it? Although I don’t like doing that because the teas should speak for themselves:)

Might try a little more leaf with the honeybush blends. Teaspoon and a half or so per 8oz cup. Just in case you hadn’t already…

I keep thinking about posting guidelines, but really everyone is unique. I think that’s part of the experience of tea is finding that sweet spot for YOU. And everyone kind of has to find it for themselves.

I understand:) Every person has a unique setup…different boiling temps(determined by elevation), hard/soft water, electric kettle/stove/microwave…there’s endless variables!

Bio

I live in Boise, Idaho…home of the Boise State Broncos:) I’m a newbie to the tea scene and trying to get my hands on various kinds of tea to try them all. I enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching various television shows.

My Steepster rating details ….

75-100 : Pretty awesome stuff, will pursue many a cup.

50-75 : Decent, will brew more in the future just not all the time

25-50 : Ehhh…Doesn’t really stand out, probably won’t pursue another cup unless I have to use up the supply.

1-25 : UGH! Won’t drink again. Enough said.

I seem to be a harsh critic when it comes to tea tasting it seems! A tea that has gotten rave reviews doesn’t seem to suit me. I just have to keep trying everything out there to find out what does! Thanks for all your insight Steepsters!
