1 Tasting Note

This tea was one of my favorites from last year’s summer of $1 iced teas. I finally got around to buying the tea to try out myself.

I steeped this tea for the maximum recommended time – 7 minutes. Eep! The result was a suprisingly dark colored tea! Like, oversteeped black tea dark. The first sniff and sip of the steeped tea gave a rush of peppermint for some reason, then strong rooibos taste and then a nice creamy aftertaste from the coconut. Not bad, but not the multi-layered taste that I remember. I’m not getting much of the unique lavender flavour that I was looking for. I will have to try again and not let the tea steep so long next time – maybe the other flavours are overpowering it.

I poured the left-over tea I had in the pot over ice with a little sugar. Iced tea should be a little strong anyway – right? I definitely enjoy this tea iced! I find it refreshing and creamy and suprisingly rich.
