Okay, SO I don’t really like this hot. At all. But today the orders at Davids got mixed up and I took this iced cup of Forever nuts because it was extra and I didn’t want to wait. It’s FANTASTIC iced. I really like it. So, I’ve now had a cup of really lovely tea and am now sitting down to catch up on Doctor Who. All is right in the world.

I got this as an I-just-finished-and-probably-failed-my-first-exam tea, and I’m pretty glad I did. I’m not generally a big white tea drinker, but I’m getting more into it. This has a pretty floral taste, but isn’t too perfumey. However, I am getting an icky aftertaste. Darn it. Also, I think there’s artificial flavouring in this one, which makes me sad. Still, it was nice, and I’m going to be finishing the .6 ounces.

Well, I’m back. My absence was caused for several reasons, but basically I haven’t been on Steepster since the beginning of February. I apologize to my trades ; everything is coming, i promise (cross my heart and hope to die, pinky swear, etc.) I missed it though!

This tea: I wanted something ginger, and rooibos sounded nice. But this tea is just sort of thin. There’s a lot of spice from the ginger and peppercorns, but I want something to ground it a little. I usually add some of my own rooibos to it. Sometimes I mix it with chai, which I really like. I would definitely get this in large amounts and add rooibos to it, because ginger is delicious.

Hrrm. Well, it’s been a hectic couple of weeks, but I’m still alive! and back on steepster. And I’d like to apologize to the people i’ve traded with; your items should be coming very soon.
This tea is odd. I liked the very first cup out of the bag, but then something went wrong. I usually don’t like Davids cinnamon teas, because they taste weird to me (I think the cinnamon has a weird aftertaste), but several people told me that this was good, so i got it It just leaves this weird taste in your mouth. blech. And it made my mug smell weird for several days. Well, whatever. Also, I’m sick and drinking lemony honey filled rooibos :)

So, I’m listening to The Velvet Underground, preparing for a very hellish week ahead of me, and I decided that I want a latte. I didn’t want caffeine, and I sort of wanted chai. Darn. But… WAIT! I have this from a long time ago. I didn’t love it, but oh well.
So I made it as a latte. And this is insane. ITS AMAZING.
Okay, well, maybe it’s not exactly mind blowing. Or near mind blowing. Oh, and I also added some crumbled ceylon cinnamon (like, crumbled from the stick). Well, okay. But it was still really yummy. And made me happy. Almost as happy as Spotify. No, not really. But sort of.

This is literally like a spring day. I feel like there’s memories. Flowers. Maybe this is just me being tired of the city in winter, but this tea made me very happy. I can’t really say whether this is a good white tea or not, because I don’t usually drink whites, but I enjoyed this one.

I enjoyed this tea. It was lovely, and as my mom said, “elegant.” It really is elegant; I could imagine it being served with little scones or something in a lovely tea service… anyway, thanks to Crystal for this, again. :)

I try not to rate teas from swaps, but this one was so wonderful I just had to. I really wanted a flavored black tea that still tasted like good black tea, and this is it! The strawberry scent is light and sort of floaty, the creme flavor sort of smooths things out, and the tea is sturdy underneath it all. The rose is there too, to finish it off delicately. I really like this, and my mom, who doesn’t usually like flavored blacks, loves it too!
There is a dry feel in my mouth afterwards, and the strawberry is more essence of than fresh fruits, but I still really love this tea!

I really wanted to try Adagio Teas, and I had one of those free $5 gift cards, so I decided to get a sample pack of this, and it cost 75 cents in total (with shipping. I was so happy). I had really wanted a non-fruit or chamomile or peppermint decaffinated tea because my mom’s allergic to chamomile, and doesn’t like fruit teas very much, and we have a lot of peppermint right now. So I decided on this tea because we both love earl grey and rooibos.
I really like this tea. It sort of is a mini war, because the rooibos is so flavorful, and there is a nice amount of bergamot in here. But it works somehow. It’s sort of like you can taste both the rooibos and the earl grey at different times, but not really working together? I still really love this tea though, and will probably get more of it. I sort of wish there was more bergamot, because I love the bergamot flavor. Still, it’s yummy.

Wow. This is beautiful. So, In my mug it smells like gingerbread. Which is amazing. And it tastes sweet, but earthy and oolong-like. I don’t even know how to describe it. Well, now i’ve tried all Davids Tea straight oolongs, and I think that this may overtake the Guangzhou Milk Oolong (which I need to get more of). This tea is wonderful. Just drink it.

I got a little sample packet for 50 cents at Davids, and I’m glad I chose this tea. It’s very light, and really good. I don’t know a whole lot about different black teas, but I know that I like this one and will probably get more of it.

Mmmmm. This is really tangy and tart, but I can taste the spearmint too, which is really lovely. I really like this now. But it’s a pretty heavy tea, so I think I’ll get 3 cups out of this half ounce bag :(
I let it steep for a while because I liked it really fruity. Also, it turns bright yellow. Always a plus when your tea turns cool colors.

Well, I steeped it too long, so it came out a bit bitter. The ginseng sweetness showed through, and it’s a weird sweetness in the back of my throat… not wholly unpleasant, but very weird. I don’t know if I’d buy a whole tin of this, but it’s not horrid.

The second steep, is less weird. I mean, I can still taste the ginseng, but now it’s better with the oolong.

I just bought this, and it smells so good. I’m going to drink it right before I go to sleep, but I’ve had it before (and when I didn’t realize how powerful it was) and it made me sooo sleepy. I decided to use this because my sleep schedule has been sort of off, as i’ve been sick. But it’s pretty good as well!

Okay, I’m writing this note as I watch Monty Python, so this should be interesting.
So I had had this before and I liked it. (John Cleese is robbing a lingerie store). It is pretty peppy. I think that the Acai powder on the ingredients makes it sort of bitter, but also more interesting, as well as the juniper berries (talking trees). I enjoy it. It’s odd, but I enjoy it. I’m not going to give it a really amazing score though, because it leaves a weird taste in my mouth. Okay. And now for something completely different…

Now, the second steep was quite good. It was pretty, light, and fruity.

Hey, this is pretty good! This is my first maté, so i’m guessing that’s what that woodsy flavor underneath is. But I enjoy the almonds, and the chocolate flavor a lot, and I think the raspberry is that slightly tart taste? Hmmm, I’ll have to try more matés I guess. Because this is quite yummy.

Okay. Here are my problems. I was given another Davids Tea teaware thing that I didn’t need, so I returned it, and paid 15 more dollars to buy this. You see, I had been lusting after the Travel Press, the big one, for a while. But at the store the guy convinced me not to buy it for some reason. Regrets, regrets.

Pros:
-It’s a mug. I like mugs. I can carry around tea.
-It has a place to store tea. (but so does the other one i wanted)

Cons:
-I’ve burned my mouth SEVERAL times. I have to wait an hour even with the lid off for it to be drinkable. Why would I want to carry around tea that I can’t drink?

-I guess i decided on this one because it was apparently leakproof. IT’S NOT LEAKPROOF. IT LEAKED ALL OVER MY BAG. Gaaaah. fail.

-When I steep rooibos, or teas that have very small leaves, I get a mouthful of tea. What. No. The little holes in the top that separate the steeper from your mouth are waayy too big.

Conclusion: I’m returning this and buying the travel press, and then spending the money I got back on more tea. The End.

This is good tea. I thought that I didn’t like green teas very much; but this was sort of a life changer. It’s very delicate, and the orange flavoring was subtle, but nice. I think it’s actually meant to be steeped cold, but it’s still delicious hot ( I still let the water cool significantly though.)

So, I bought 2 ounces of this on sale at Davids, and I really do like it. It’s not as good as the Guangzou Milk Oolong, but still yummy!
