Vanilla Rooibos Parfait from Tazo

Just in from hearing Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida. We were craving a cup of tea before bed. This one is perfect and soothing. Vanilla, apple. Taken with honey to help my scratchy springtime allergy throat. Nighty night! Or as the Bard wrote in one of his much more famous plays:

Parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow.

We should have a Shakespeare day where everyone puts a Shakespeare quote in a tasting note. Lol.

It looks like they discontinued this. You make it sound so good I had to look for it.

They should still have it, I’ve seen it at all the Starbucks stores. It’s sold in Full Leaf bags now (in a tin) and a bit more pricey (7.95 for 15 bags). My target store carries them in the US too.

Morgana – I fell in love with Shakespeare’s plays in 4th grade when we put on Julius Caesar – I was Caesar’s wife and when I was warning him not to go on the ides of March I tripped on my bed sheet toga, fell on Caesar and we both rolled off the stage! It was my post modern feminist revision of the role – lol!!!

Kristin – Meghann M is right – they have them in store at Starbucks, (but my $bucks has em for 6.95. I saw them at Target for 7.95 tho. I think it’s a little expensive but I will keep buying it because I like it so much! I have almost finished my tin!

Kristin – you can! You can have it as a regular tea or a tea latte.

Bio

I love to cook, bake, read, paint, knit, do needlework, and garden. I need my coffee, but I LOVE my tea. I work at an Art School, and I am currently taking classes in order to become certified to teach.

I enjoy writing tasting notes, but have decided not to numerically rate teas as of 9/14/10. For an explanation, see my looooong tasting note about Mountain Malt from the Simple Leaf.

My favorites:
Chinese black teas
A good “milk and sugar” English style black
Earl Grey (classic, and in all variations!)
Vanilla teas (classic, and in all variations!)
Jasmine, Rose, Violet and other froofy, flowery teas!
An Occasional Oolong
Flavored Rooibos
Herbal Tisanes
