Jasmine Green from Andrews & Dunham Damn Fine Tea
87

Last night I stayed up late so I could watch Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester on PBS:

http://www.palastorchester.de/en/biographie/max-raabe/

but there was a soul music program on beforehand, and guess what I saw?! LaBelle singing Lady Marmalade (in silver space suits no less!!!)! You might remember that A+D’s Jasmine Green tin makes me think of this song. Well, the reverse is true too! Now, when I hear Lady Marmalade, I want to drink Jasmine Green! So that is exactly what I’m doing :) I wanted to wait til the afternoon – she is not a morning tea (since she is up all night gitchy gitchy ya ya ya-ing)!

Mmmmmmmmm. Floral and fruity. Happy! I can literally feel the happiness flowing through my body :) Sweet and light. Utterly delicious! Why in the world have I not had this tea in so long!?!?

Super yummy second steep, too!

Has anyone heard anything about if A+D are going to be releasing any more teas?

My kids all have his music on their iPods and now I do, too. And my youngest used to love Patti “A-bell” as she called her singing How I Miss My X from Sesame Street!

A&D have email updates. Not sure what one looks like when a new one comes out but I would imagine you get a bit of warning. I’m praying they do a matcha some day but that’s probably never going to happen. =P

Batrachoid – I’m now on twitter and they give little hints when something is coming. I joined twitter for getting lines of Emily Dickinson poems each day and tea updates – he hee :)

I love to cook, bake, read, paint, knit, do needlework, and garden. I need my coffee, but I LOVE my tea. I work at an Art School, and I am currently taking classes in order to become certified to teach.

I enjoy writing tasting notes, but have decided not to numerically rate teas as of 9/14/10. For an explanation, see my looooong tasting note about Mountain Malt from the Simple Leaf.

My favorites:
Chinese black teas
A good “milk and sugar” English style black
Earl Grey (classic, and in all variations!)
Vanilla teas (classic, and in all variations!)
Jasmine, Rose, Violet and other froofy, flowery teas!
An Occasional Oolong
Flavored Rooibos
Herbal Tisanes
