1103 Tasting Notes
More snow! You’ve got to be kidding me!!!
I needed something lovely but with a bit of a kick after shoveling out for the umpteenth time this winter, and chose my golden favorite!!! I think what I love most about this one is that it’s so sweet and smooth, but it still gives you that invigorating black tea lift. Perfect sans additions.
YUM! This tea is SUCH a treat! It always takes me by surprise when this wee tea bag produces such an amazingly robust and flavorful tea. The coconut is sweet and in combination with the spices and the milk I added, it tastes like a creamy liqueur! If I was still giving ratings, this would totally be a 100.
Cold, grey, miserable. A paper to finish. Mountain Malt is definitely the “best tea for the day” (like Little Edie picks the “best costume for the day” – any other Grey Gardens fans here?)
Strong and flavorful. Get up and go in a cup. A classic with milk and sugar. I made the 16 oz mug, and oh, it is making all the difference!
In the throes of paper writing. Oh my poor pea brain! I needed something heartening this afternoon, and this one really did the trick. Sweet, but not too. Invigorating, but in a mellow way – no jumpiness. Comforting with a little milk and sugar. Thank you, dear Coconut!
I think I got it! 2 cups water, 1 of these bags, 2 slices crystallized ginger, good squirt of honey in each cup. It’s very flavorful without having your lips on fire :) Still a leeeeetle too much black pepper for my taste, but I can deal with it this way.
I’m getting scatterbrained – forgot to log this from last night! We had the rest of our Girl Scout cookies and a nice cup of this :) So good that I only had one Girl Scout cookie because I was enjoying the tea so much. I can not say the same for my husband ;)
I am drinking my final few leaves of my precious! I have been so dreadfully busy that I haven’t even had time to breathe yet alone go to the tea store, but this calls for an emergency! I am going to schedule AN APPOINTMENT ON MY CALENDAR on pay day (Thursday!) so I can go to Premium Steap and get my roasty friend (and ashmanra! I am going to send some to you!!!! and mrawlins2 – I am going to send your package! I am the worst tea friend when I get crazy like this!! I AM SORRY!)!
Anyway – enough of my psychosis! The tea :) Perfection as usual. Roastyfruity. Chocolateyearthy. So easy to drink. Impossible to oversteep. Love, love, love.
EDIT: I posted a pic on my twitter account of how large and beautiful these leaves are after they are steeped! http://twitter.com/#!/jackiemania
Sweet, light, delightful! I’m having this one in honor of the very spring-like weather we are experiencing today! It tastes like new green shoots coming out of the ground and and sun on your skin!
Girl Scouts were set up in the train station with Girl Scout cookies! Horray! I picked out a box of Peanut butter ones and could not wait until I was finally done class at 9pm to get home, make a nice pot of Vanilla Comoro, and RELAX! The vanilla and caramel were lovely with the cookies! I felt very happy to have some true tea flavor plus Sleeping Ability :)
Graduation fair today! I had one quick steep before I had to run downstairs and help students all day. It was a good, roasty steep but all too rushed. Ah – next time I will take my time and have a nice bagel with it to make up for it!
