6 Tasting Notes

I picked this rather inexpensive ($8.00/250g) CTC mostly based on TeaEqualsBliss’s review. Let me quickly say I’m glad I did.

This is a smooth, mild-med. bodied black tea. I’ll confess that based on the bag aroma I expected it to be a little bolder, but I’m glad it wasn’t, as this is a great afternoon/evening cup of tea.

No milk or sugar added, this was a really satisfying cup.

PS – If anyone wants generous samples of this, please email me. I’d be happy to share.

I had this at dinner the other night. I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to smell the dry leaves as they were already infusing in a pot when it was brought to my table.
I remember the liquor being a beautiful dark red, with pronounced floral and fruit smells. Really quite a fragrant tea. Unfortunately the tea smell is lost to this.
The taste is smooth and heavenly. Somewhat sweet even.
As with all teas, this was consumed straight up.
I’m not sure this is a tea I’d want to have everyday, however it is definitely an enjoyable afternoon/evening tea that I’ll be ordering again!

A high grown Ceylon tea, that I had hoped would be a little brighter than it proved to be.
I found it to be on the light side, with rather smokey, mineral qualities to it.
Very nice quality leaf for the price, and certainly tasty.

Just checked the website – that is a great value! I will probably order some to try it out, 15g for a $1 is very nice.

This is the only tea I drink at the office.
It’s never bitter and always consistent. I add lemon to it. There is nothing special about this tea. Just a comfortable cup.
What this tea IS good for, is making you appreciate all those really good teas you have.
