Sadly this is another disappointing Teavana tea that didn’t live up to expectations. Overall this tea fell very flat on flavor and was incredibly weak despite several different brew attempts – adding more tea, steeping longer … etc. The only kind words I can impart on this tea is that it smells fantastic dried and is fated to be one expensive popurri.

I am relatively new to the world of Honeybush teas but if this tea is any indicator I have been definitely missing out! The fruity blend of orange, pineapple and banana combine incredibly well with the sweet Honeybush base. Unlike Rooibos teas, the Honeybush base adds a very pleasant sweet layer that enhances the flavor of the tea without any woodsy aftertaste.

This is another purr-fect creation from 52teas. The Yun Wu green tea base is an excellent launch pad for the sweet lemony notes of this tea. Lemon and green tea naturally pair well but the use of Yun Wu combined with the marshmallow root adds the perfect touch of creamy sweetness that avoids any bitterness in the brew.

From the moment I first smelled this tea I was hooked. Oolong teas in general are very smooth and adding vanilla makes for a perfect relaxing tea. Using Huang Jin Gui Oolong as the base of this tea adds a creamy note that just enhances the vanilla flavoring. After the first steep you loose most of the vanilla but its still an enjoyable cup nevertheless.

This has become my hands down favorite chai tea. The addition of cacao nibs, almonds and cayenne pepper to a well balanced chai spice mix makes for a perfect blend. With all of the strong spices in this blend you are still able to appreciate all of the flavors as they work so well together and are blended so perfectly as to not overwhelm your palate. If you enjoy chai teas this is a MUST try!

Another fantastic blend by 52teas! The cinnamon, cardamom, clove, black peppercorns and anise mix creates a aromatic spice mix which is not unlike a chai tea – which I am a very fond of. The white tea base is a perfect choice to allow all of the subtle notes of this blend to shine through with a smooth finish.

Typically I tend to stay clear of black teas since I typically end up disappointed but this is a rare exception to this generality. Combining chichory and licorice root make for an enchanting brew. Interesting enough, I found that the subtle notes of this tea were best enjoyed as the tea cooled to slightly above room temperature and is likely even better chilled.

As a child my absolute favorite gelatin was lime, so when I discovered this gem from 52teas I HAD to try it! This is definitely the grown up version of my childhood treat but with none of the guilt of a indulgent dessert. The combination of pineapple, lime and marshmallow root replicate the flavor perfectly while the green tea base cuts the sweetness to make for a perfectly balanced cup.

I was pleasantly surprised by this blend. When I first read the description of this tea I was convinced that it was not a tea for me – but I took a chance and I am glad I did! The combination of marshmallow root and spearmint with a green tea base make for a rather interesting and unique blend. The marshmallow and malt flavors cut the sharpness of the spearmint flavor perfectly lending a subtle sweetness to the brew.

This tea is Bananas … sorry I couldn’t resist. This is another definite winner from 52teas as I was hooked at first sip. This tea strikes a perfect balance of sweetness with the banana flavoring that is offset by the nutty Genmaicha base. If you are looking for a tea to go bananas for – this is it!
