drank Choconut Oolong by DAVIDsTEA

This tea got hosed pretty thoroughly by the reviewers, but I wanted to at least give it the benefit of the doubt and try it anyway.

On paper it sounds like it should work – chocolate oolong sounds like a delectable combination. The smell is fantastic – it’s like those boozy chocolate truffles I remember selling back when I worked at Purdy’s Chocolates. I see what people mean about the licorice flavour though – it’s like they tried to use it to sweetened the tea and added a bit too much as it sort of muscles in on the chocolate flavours. Now I don’t mind licorice root, but it doesn’t really mesh with the chocolate and I’m pretty sure this wasn’t what Davids Tea was going for.

Bio

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
