What is wrong with this tea? I can’t explain it. It is very artificial tasting. The smell of the dry tea makes me slightly nauseous. The taste is just off somehow. Ok, I’m getting queasy just thinking about it. Blech.

To be fair, I normally don’t like chai teas. I love this one, though, so if you prefer a traditional chai, you may hate this tea. It is light and slightly sweet with just enough spice. Great for the holidays!
I don’t think I’ve had a berry tea that I’ve ever liked. Needless to say, I didn’t have high expectations. I expected it to be bitter, overpowering, and harsh; this tea was none of those things. It reminded me of very mellow red wine. Since I only had a sample, I will definitely be going out to buy a box.

Smell: fake chocolate
Taste: at first, a hint of fake strawberry. Other than that, fake chocolate (aka carob.. I never cared for it).
It’s drinkable, but I wouldn’t buy it.
I’ve noticed this box is pretty bland so I decided to use two bags at once. Unfortunately, I waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay oversteeped it!! It’s definitely not bland, but almost undrinkable. It’s as dark as coffee and makes my mouth feel dry. It’s pretty bitter, too, but it still smells good. I think I’m going to start saving the bags and boil them to make it smell like I’ve been baking ; )
I love this tea. love it, love it, love it!! It tastes like it should have about 400 calories. It’s sweet, but not overpowering. The cinnamon and vanilla work very well together in this black tea. If a giant gooey cinnamon roll were a drink, this would be it. It’s so yummy!
Solid green tea. Not exquisite, but definitely worthy of a regular place in the pantry. Lovely green color!
Smells like a field of flowers. Tastes like green tea.
bleh. Everything about this tea reminded me of the smell of a tobacco store. I think it was the weak/fake tasting vanilla or something. Glad it was just a sample…
First attempt: tastes like spinach and Brussels sprouts.
To me, this is sickeningly sweet.
bleh. not my favorite. too many different flavors that don’t mix well, in my opinion.
Tastes so yummy and sweet I had to check the box to see how many calories were in it!!
Not bad, but not a favorite. One more experience in the ‘I don’t like flavored teas’ lesson.
I got the last tin!!! I’ve only had it once so far and this is—gasp—my first loose leaf tea. Yeah, I know. I’m a n00b. Whatever. I steeped it too long, I think. It isn’t bad, but to me it tastes and smells more like imitation rose than what roses actually smell like. I think I detected a hint of a lemony after taste, too. Definitely not bad. It may not be an everyday tea, but it definitely has its place.
Not bad, but it seems like it has too much going on. Here are the ingredients: red clover, peppermint, green tea, eleuthero, alfalfa, cranberry flavor, nettle leaf, and lemon flavor. The peppermint is overpowers just about everything else.
It tastes like cough drops and makes my mouth feel strange. bleh.
It tastes like koolaid at first, but if it steeps too long the cayenne really comes out.
Another favorite of mine. Not bad for stuff from the grocery store!
This is definitely my favorite herbal tea. I never even noticed the spearmint flavor before reading these reviews, but I love spearmint, so maybe that’s why I like this tea so much (and so much more than other chamomile teas I’ve tried). It’s so peaceful and relaxing.. but that’s probably a placebo effect : )
The first time I had this, I let it steep WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to long and it was like sucking on a car air freshener. The second time, I only steeped it about a minute, but the cherry flavor was still a little too much for me.
This is a good staple tea to me. I wouldn’t mind if it were a little more floral, though.
