4 Tasting Notes
Another tea found at work! This would be the last (proper) tea that I’ve found here. The color is a nice deep red/pink from the hibiscus. Can’t really taste much of the green from this, so it comes off more as an herbal blend, but it’s still enjoyable. I recommend as a nice detour from normal green teas.
This tea was gifted to me from my mom for Christmas. Pretty standard English Breakfast black tea here. I keep it at work for when I want a caffeine boost, but don’t want the jolt of coffee. The slight smokiness is a nice touch!
A friend of mine had this at work and offered me some. There are hints of orange and lemon under the green tea flavor, however it does lack versus the stronger citrus aroma. Still, it’s a pretty good go-to tea given its price and availability.
This was my first red tea, and after a moment of adjustment, I rather enjoy it. Normally I stick to greens, but my sister gave me a tin of Good Hope Vanilla to try it out. Also, I rarely go for flavored teas, being more of a ‘tea is tea’ person, however, I continue to enjoy this the more I drink. The vanilla flavor is excellent, there’s enough there to notice, but it’s not overwhelming. The creaminess of the tea was almost surprising at first, but again adds to the character and doesn’t ‘steal the show.’ I’m enjoying the color very much, a deep burnt sienna. I recommend it, and will most likely keep a tin on hand for an after-dinner drink (as it’s naturally caffeine-free).
