Wet stems: intensified veggies

Light steep: I taste/smell; light veggies, asparagus, freshly cut grass , sweet and slight to light bitterness.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BDGYb9xp493/

Medium steep: I taste/smell; medium veggies, fresh cut grass, asparagus and bitterness. Little to no sweetness.

Heavy steep: (skipped due to possible strong bitterness) sometimes i can stand bitter teas (can be pleasant) however, sometimes it’s unpleasant. i’m not going to risk it

All in all, this tea is nice but it’s not the best from japan that I’ve had. I rate 90 and suggest one try this tea with a bit of caution. (Possible bitterness)

Roughage

Wow, that’s a good rating. This one freaked me out when I first had it. Still not sure about it either!

Roughage

Aha, I had the 2012, which is why I could not find my note under this one. Have you had the 2012, and, if so, is there a noticeable difference between the two?

Kirkoneill1988

i have not tried the 2012 version… i doubt there is much of a difference though if it were 3 or more years difference in age then most likely yes.

Roughage

That’s what I thought. Just wondered.

Kirkoneill1988

it’s ok :)

as i forgot my iPod ill have to do a quick review.

Ru yao dragon teapot gongfucha:

when i smell the leaves dry, they smell like chalk and clay (in a good way)

when i smell the leaves wet, the smell is intensified.

when i smell the brewed tea i smell clay chalk and spices.

when i taste the brewed tea i taste clay chalk and spices.

all in all this is a good tea. had me fooled too. i thought it was a green tea! :O
the color of the leaves was not brown but green! :O

thus why i rate it a 95 :)

i would recommend this tea to at least try it
