84 Tasting Notes
over steeped this :( i can finally taste the pepperyness of this now though. i think i like it stronger. i was looking for a cup of something boring and un flavored, but i didnt get it lol. this tea is always interesting when i have it. it has subtle differences each time and i look forword to the next new thing that this tea pops up for me :)
Preparation
TeaEqualsBliss reminded me that i have this :p
i like all the colors in the tea. and does it ever smell like apricots! its very tasty. it is a very soothing flavor, with no bitter notes. ah Disney you never seem to fail me (unless you count fox and the hound 2, and the lion king 1 1/2)
Preparation
i think what makes this tea good is the stronger strawberry flavor and the more subtle chocolate flavor. i had most of a cup of this at work earlier today (lost the last 2 sips as i dropped dog food into it) its defiantly something i can see myself coming back to but personally i dont think id purchase it. it isnt significant enough for me to purchase even the 4oz tin. the strawberry alone is amazing, and chocolate alone is gross so im glad they found a way to make it work out nicely.
the scent of this tea is stronger on the chocolate than the flavor.
Preparation
found this little bag sitting in our work tea bag stash, and because my sister is bonkers for it i decided to finally try it. it starts off bitter but finishes nice and sweet, i can see myself stealing a bag or two from her when i visit but other than that i dont think id buy it for myself. not to be a tea snob but i am a bit turned off by it because it is bagged. i dont really get the feel of it being holiday inspired, to me it tastes like an everyday tea but i feel that it may be because i have an uneducated pallet.
ok well first the leaves smell like lemon and coconut…i dont like coconut. when its brewed it is a very pretty light amber color…but mine was a bit foggy…may have been my lighting in the kitchen though, it is a junky light i had on. the tea smells like the leaves…still dont like it. so i tasted it plain….still dont like it. i added sugar and it’s now drinkable when its in my mouth i cant taste the coconut so it isnt so bad i can first taste the lemony chai which isnt so bad, but the after flavor left in my mouth is coconut…i will be finishing this cup and hopefully sending this one out to another person who enjoys this.
i LOVE this, maybe too much :p i got distracted and this cooled down ALOT as in its now cold. its still delicious! the color is such a nice pale golden brown and smells like dried blueberries…more please!
Preparation
ive never tried a “run of the mill” green tea before this is all i have to go off on. normally im not a green tea drinker, but i enjoy this. i think its the spices in it that make me like it because they do stand out to me. its a very light tea, i prefer mine stronger so maybe next time ill go for a longer steep time. i am enjoying this as i do my chemistry lab report (yuck)
the color is a pale greeny color that i find very pleasing to the eyes and the smell is wonderful, again i think it’s the spices. ive got to say this was a good purchase on my part. hopefully steepster can help me open up to more green teas :)
Preparation
i love this tea! its just so relaxing and makes me feel like im drinking candy :) almost like a guilty pleasure. i tried it re-steeped…well it isnt bad, just not strong enough for me, it reminds me of watered down strawberry bath water, i drank it…i just dont plan on doing it again.
i over steeped this about 2 days ago and wow did i regret that! this is a very touchy tea 5 min steeping not a second longer or it will taste like your drinking bitter apple spray (its a training aid for pets you spray things you dont want them chewing on…unfortunately ive sprayed it in my face and know what it tastes like) but if you get it right WOW. this is a tea i keep coming back to over and over again!
time to get the travel mug set up and get ready for work!
Preparation
this has a very delicate flavor, its sweet and light. the color was much lighter than i expected. it has a somewhat earthy taste that i like. wated to try something un-flavored and found this tin in the back so decided to give it a go! im glad i did. its a great way to start my night of studying :)
WOW! If this is only a 1st infusion you definitely oversteeped this. lol Just use more leaf next time.
o yeah i did i can taste it more and more and i drink it. it isnt bitter at all though which is nice. i gotta try and not get myself distracted when i make this :p
NOT bitter? at 6.5 min how the heck did you manage that one? Just seeing the time made my stomach churn lol!
i added sugar lol it was a preemptive strike so i wouldn’t waste it :) usually the sugar wont make the bitterness go away it just makes it tolerable. i wonder if my water wasnt hot enough or i was just really lucky
If I make my tea too bitter, I just steep the leaves again but I cut the time and mix the two steepings together. It usually balances it out.
ooo ill have to try that! especially with my strawberry that one gets way too bitter and no matter how much sugar i add its still gross
Yes, endless subtle differences.
