drank Yunnan Jig by Adagio Teas
1096 tasting notes

This was the first Yunnan that I had ever tasted and immediately became one of my favourites. I owe my love of Yunnan blacks to this tea. I still have a little bit of this to finish off and it’s been hard to re visit it incase it just isn’t what I remember it to be. I have tasted so many fine Yunnans that I’m afraid this will become meagre in comparison and I feel it still deserves a place in my heart.

A nice man called Philip is fixing my back gate after someone broke into my garden and completely busted the gate down in the process. Hopefully when I have enough money next year to buy a place it will be far away from this neighbourhood.

I’m pleased to say that this tea still holds up pretty well. It’s got the rich malt Yunnan taste but there is also a sweet, honeyed quality to this blend. Something that I could still drink every day. :)

Long live the Yunnan Jig.

Sorry to hear about your gate. Is your garden ok?

KittyLovesTea

Thanks Lala The garden is alright, had a few things (sweeping brush for one) broken and a lot of rubbish dumped but it’s nothing my husband can’t fix. A few hours when we get the time and it will be as good as new.

We were in a nicer area a couple of years ago and when my husband had cancer our landlord wanted to rip us off and charge extortionate rates so we had to move into the first place we could. We just didn’t know how bad it would be here. Well this time next year my husband would have saved roughly £8000 and my mother said she will give us another £5000 so we have enough deposit for a nice house in a nice area. I can’t wait. No more broken gates, no more poop on my doorstep, no more drunken arguments outside my door, no more of everything.

Oh, Kitty! I am sorry you have had to endure all that! Here are my prayers that you get in a nice place with GREAT neighbors SOON!

KittyLovesTea

Thank you ashmanra It’s not something that I like to talk about but with everything that’s been going in for the last few weeks I just had to rant a little. Just found out that my aunty broke her wrist yesterday as well and in a seperate incide my cousin lost his job and got into a bad car crash. Hopefully the negativity around my family will be lifted. When it rains it pours.

Terri HarpLady

Wow! Sorry to hear about ALL that stuff Kitty.
Regarding the tea, I rather enjoyed this one, & the Yunnan Noir is also quite nice :)

KittyLovesTea

Thanks Terri HarpLady Yunnan Noir is on my wishlist but Adagio don’t sell it in the UK :(

Terri HarpLady

That’s no fun.
Next time I place an Adagio order (might be a little while, I just placed one), I’ll have to order a sample of it to send your way. :)

KittyLovesTea

That would be ever so kind of you Terri HarpLady I’m always happy to repay a favour. :)

Profile

Bio

I’m 26 years old from Leicester, England named Kayleigh. I have a wonderful husband called Richard whom I am very lucky to have in my life.

I started off many years ago drinking herbal and fruit teas which over time peaked my interest in trying new types. Eventually I began to import and sample many different teas and cultures which I still do today. My life goal is to try as many teas and ways of having tea as possible.

Tea wise my cravings change constantly from pu erh one month to jasmine green to the next and so on.

I adore cats and have four of my own called Honey, Cassie, Mr Soots and Ivory.

I also have two fish tanks which thankfully my cats have no interest in. They house an array of tropical fish and shrimp.

I am a proud vegetarian and have been for the majority of my life. When I say vegetarian I mean just that as well, no fish or seafood, no chicken now and again, no animal products such as gelatine and cochineal.

I also enjoy watching Japanese Anime and horror films.

I am always up for tea swaps so if you see anything in my virtual cupboard then please contact me.

A short list to help swapping with me easier though honestly I am not fussy and am willing to try anything. Plus the notes below are usually, sometimes I love a tea that has an ingredient I tend to dislike and other times I hate a tea that I thought I would love.

Likes: Any fruit but especially melon and orange, vanilla, all tea types (black, green, white etc), nuts (any), flowers, ginger, chai.

Dislikes: Licorice, aniseed, clove, eucalyptus, lavender.
