I just made a cup of this delicious tea while I watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Not quite the right fit. Although the tea was delicious, as always, it was also calming, which the episode of Criminal Minds was not. But thats ok, I still love both. And I love you Dr. Reid.

This is a herbal tisane.

1.5 tsp steeped in 8oz water. Sweetened with 1 peice of rock sugar.

Smell of dry tea: smells like Trident peach gum, notes of peach, pineapple, candy. Very sweet.

Appearance of dry tea: small uniform chunks of fruit, small light green whole leaves.

Colour of liquor: orange-pink, very peachy in colour, light and clear.

Taste of liquor: tastes very similar to peach gum. Fruity, mild, mellow, slightly sweet.

I will definitely keep this in stock and recommend it to others.

I also recommend Criminal Minds to others :)

This is a herbal tisane.

2tsp in 8 oz. water.

Appearance of dry tea: small uniform peices of light green bamboo peices, cut. Small pieces of fruit, fruit crunchy peices, and flower petals.

Smell of dry tea: smells very fruity and sweet. Notes of peaches, pineapple and apple.

Appearance of steeped leaves: minimal expansion.

Colour of liquor: dark yellow, almost brown.

Smell of liquor: minute smell, vegetal.

Taste of liquor: fruity, sweet. Some tropical flavours but hard to distinguish. Underlying soft vegetal base. There is an artificial taste noted.

I generally only ever steep once.

I would recommend as a good tea but most likely not purchase again.

I find this is a good tea to have around the cupboard for those just in case moments. This is not particularly, my favorite tea but I find it goes well with a heavy breakfast, such as bacon and eggs. I find it gets bitter if it is steeped for too long. But it can be resteeped several times and still get good flavour. I find it to be a dark and heavy tea. I love the limited edition packaging it sometimes comes in.

This was my first exposure to yerba mate tea. On second thought I could have tried a better tasting mate tea. Morning thunger has a smokey, bold flavour to it. I don’t particularly drink it for the taste. If you are tired it does get your thunder rolling in the morning :)

I quite like the zing this tea has. I have spent a lot of money and many boxes/bags/tins of tea to find a good lemon tea that does not taste artificial or have a bad aftertaste. I find it soothing on a sore throat, or as a thirst quencher.

This tea is bold and strong. I use it mostly if a caffeine boost is needed through the day. I enjoy the taste of this tea. It can become bitter if steeped for too long.

I always keep decaffeinated green tea in my pantry. I will occaisionally drink this tea in the evening. To me, it tastes the same as the Tetley pure green tea. I am caffeine sensitive, so I need to have something without caffeine in the evening, in order to sleep at night.

drank Mint Green Tea by Tetley

I was given this tea as a secret santa gift (as I am always drinking tea at work). I was not initially sold on the idea of mint with green tea but I was pleasantly surprised. The mint mixes well with the vegetal flavour of the green tea, and is not overpowering. I find this tea soothing and calming. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys drinking green tea after a meal.

Bio

I am a lifetime tea lover.

I did foray into the world of coffee for a period of time, but I returned to my true love. I still, however, enjoy a good cup of java.

My all time favorite tea is Earl Grey, which I drink every morning, the stronger the bergamot the better. I definitely prefer natural oil of bergamot to artificial flavouring.

I mostly like black and dark oolong teas. My current favs are Fujian blacks, Keemun and Assams, and Wuyi oolongs. I gravitate towards anything with lychee in it. I also drink a lot of herbal blends but am wary of hibiscus. I do not favour mate, or pu’erh tea, although I have found a few blends that I like. (I so badly want to like straight pu’erh tea but it all tastes gross to me. I keep trying though). Rooibos, green and white teas fall somewhere in the middle. I find myself gravitating towards heavily roasted oolongs and teas from Paris/France based companies.

I love iced teas and cold brews.

My current tea goal is to make the perfect cup of chai from scratch – almost there…I think.

I am in love with the whole experience of tea.
