625 Tasting Notes
My very first roasted oolong. I brewed this in what I call the "western electric kettle, single mug method’. It smells earthy, and a little smoky. The dry leaves have a more earthy scent. Iget a little chocolate in the flavour, but that’s more like dark chocolate or roast cacao beans. There is some of the roasty oolong flavour, but it’s more subtle.
Thanks to Chinese Tea Shop for letting me try this.
My Teavivre sampler came in the post today, so I had to try this first.
It smells fantastic… like sweet potatoes and honey wheat bread. The flavour is smooth and a bit malty. I do get some yam as well.
Thanks to Angel for picking this one for me to try.

Since I had more coffee than tea today, so I had this.
It’s called extra green… and it really is. The colour is green, the scent is green, it even tastes green. There is an interesting green flavour. I like both sencha and matcha, but I’m not sure how well it goes together.
Last of my samples from Teavivre. So I saved this one. Had a cup with lunch and an episode of Ounce Upon a Time. (Which doesn’t have enough genies.)
Anyway… this has a great scent. I so enjoy the smell of roses. There is a really good floral black tea flavour as well. Would be a good tea for a tea event.
This came in the post today, which was totally when I was excepting it. Yay! It smells like many an orange spice tea I’ve had before. There is a nice scent of orange (made stronger ’cause I just had an orange), cinnamon, and a little cloves. Mmm… spice. The flavour is a bit like an orange chai. I like this one a lot. Thanks Just Organic Teas.
