Cameron B sent me so I could try some Whispering Pines teas. After I brewed it, I got a scent of sweet potatoes, and a some baked bread. The flavour made think of raisin bread, except a bit dark, and maybe molasses.

This shall definitely be part of a future order.

Flavors: Baked Bread, Molasses, Raisins, Sweet Potatoes

I’m so glad you like it. :) But then again, all of Whispering Pines’s teas are good, which you will soon learn. I now wish I had brought this one with me on my trip. :P

I added this to a sampler I ordered. Because… tea reasons.

My very first tea of yesterday. When I went to open the package, I did so without looking, then wondered why it smelt like oolong. I’d of course grabbed the wrong package, since I’d just woken up. Once I got the correct one, I was really wanting some tea. It didn’t really smell like the flowers while still in the toucha. After brewing, I got some floral scents. The brew was a dark, it looks close to some sort of cola. For the flavour, I mostly get the deep earthy notes, and bit of floral sweetness.

This is my ‘free’ sample. It smells nicely earthy. There is a bit of a sweet, floral flavour, though a little on the darker side. Different, but really good.

My first Verdant tea. When I opened the package, I got a scent of honeysuckle. It comes out more brewed. The flavour is nicely sweet and floral. There is a bit more of a vanilla or cream flavour as it cools.

Flavors: Honeysuckle

Wow, you are just now trying Verdant? I’m shocked!

I was waiting for the 5 for 5 sampler to come back.

My free sample from a Lupicia visit. It does smell somewhat like cherries, and another fruit I can’t really place. The flavour is bit oddly sweet. Could call it interesting, I guess, but I prefer rose petal black teas.

The last of my samples, another Green Terrace chose for me. It smells nicely floral (maybe orchids). The flavour is light, buttery, and green. Teas like this are trying to make me prefer green oolongs (which I do like, but usually after lunch.)

Flavors: Butter, Green

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 3 min, 30 sec

This smells nicely like cinnamon and blueberries. There is too much hibiscus flavour though. Might be better cold.

Flavors: Hibiscus

I’ve recently decided I needed to have more oolongs, so I had to try this one. It has a creamy and slightly floral scent. The milk (creaminess) comes out more in the flavour, along with floral/ vegetal notes. Having it a bit cold is nice too.

This was the green tea that Green Terrace Teas chose for me. It smells the jasmine teas should… light and floral. The jasmine flavour is very good. Reminds me why the jasmine greens got me into tea in the first place.

Flavors: Jasmine
