I thought this would be good out camping during a full moon, so I’m of course having it on a sunny day at home. It smells so herbal… there is mint, and lemongrass. There is something else that comes out in the brew, maybe the elderberries. Flavour— mmm, lemongrass, then there is some mint (spearmint, I think), there are some hints of smoky/ toasted marshmallow. Mostly it is just nicely herbal.

Flavors: Lemongrass, Marshmallow, Mint, Toasty

I got to try this one at the store. (The tea name is French, and I like it.)

Scent- nutty, cocoa. Flavour- creamy, chocolate, a nice nuttiness. Kinda reminds of Nutella, but a chestnut version. It also reminds me of this really good chestnut/chocolate torte I made in a baking class. Very good, and much better on the hot side.

Flavors: Chestnut, Chocolate, Cocoa, Creamy, Nutty

Mm that sounds so good! Didn’t even know they had this tea. I’ll have to get it next time I order or go to the store. :O

Stephanie

Ooooh I want to try this one some day :D

I’d like to thank the folks at Teavivre for choosing this tea for me.

This smells a bit floral. The flavour is mild, sweet, and somewhat green tasting. Another tea I like, but need to experiment with some more.

This is the first time I ever tried a tea like this, so I’m not sure if I made it correctly. It smells both like leaves and earth, and light and herby. The flavour is smooth, and mild, but seems like it could have been richer if I brewed it a little longer.

Overall, good. Thanks to Teavivre for letting me try this.

This is another I tried in the store. It smells like orange chocolates in the tin, and in the brew. Though when I had the sample, the flavour got way more orange. There was some chocolate, but it was really mild. Alright, but not what I was hoping for.

Flavors: Chocolate, Citrusy, Orange

Cameron B.

You should try Three Friends from Butiki if you’re looking for chocolate orange. :D

Lariel of Lórien

Is that one also vegan marshmallow?

Cameron B.

Yes, the chocolate chips and flavoring are both vegan.

Lariel of Lórien

Yum! If anyone wants to send me a sample, I accept.

I’ve liked the strawberry teas of theirs I’ve tried, and I’ve liked the chocolate teas. So I was glad to try them both together. This tea smells awesome… like these strawberry chocolate candies I get from the Japanese market. There is a nice, creamy chocolatey flavour, which pairs really well with the sweet berry.

Wish I could try their other flavoured puer, but this one is really good.

Because I passed by a store today, I decided to stop and try this. I know it’s caramel, but the sample I had was really sweeter than I’d like. Of the spices, I seem to get more ginger than anything else. The flavour would make a good cookie though.

Flavors: Ginger, Sugar, Sweet

This is my favourite of the teas I tried at the Lupicia store today. There is a nice floral and berry scent. That is also what I get in the flavour, with some notes of creamy vanilla. While I really liked this tea, I feel it would be more suited for the Spring months.

Flavors: Berry, Creamy, Rose, Vanilla

That’s definitely a good one! Glad you got to make it to the store! :)

Lariel of Lórien

It was so fun. Hope to go again before the move.

I was able to visit a store again! :) The clerk was very nice. She made me a sample of this tea. This is French for ‘Fruit Tea’, which is a really good name. This is certainly a fruity too. Scent- I get mostly lychee, and some strawberry. Flavour- It is sweet, with strong notes of lychee, the strawberry and peach flavours are more subtle.

Flavors: Fruity, Lychee, Peach, Strawberry, Sweet

Cameron B.

Definitely not French. I looked it up, turns out it’s Spanish.

Lariel of Lórien

It looks so French though.

Cameron B.

French would be “Thé aux Fruits” or “Thé de Fruits” or something similar. I’m not fluent. :P

Lariel of Lórien

Ah.Knowing bits of both languages can be confusing sometimes.

TeaBrat

The staff at Lupicia is usually friendly and not at all obnoxious!

Lariel of Lórien

I prefer the SF store, since it’s a little bigger.

I, for one, welcome our new Melon Overlords.

The dry uh, leaves smell like a nice, ripe honeydew melon. And brewed, it reminds me of these Japanese gummy candies I really like. There is a sweet, fruity flavour. Lupicia, you’ve convinced me I enjoy melon flavour teas. Which is a accomplishment since I was skeptical. It is also my new fave green rooibos. Thanks to Ost for this.

Tried this iced today, but I like it better hot. Which was surprising.
