This is such an amazing green. The flavor is nutty and buttery and smooth and sweet. Not too Vegetative. and Oh-So-Nice!

I can feel the stress in my shoulders just sort of melt away when I sip on this tea. ahhhh…

This is one that had been on my shopping list for a while, so I finally broke down and placed an order.

This is an enchanting Oolong tea. The dry leaf smells very floral. I can taste the jasmine notes in there. It has a smooth, rich mouthfeel although it’s not as rich as a typical green Oolong. A very pleasant floral flavor, however, the floral notes do mask some of the Oolong flavors.

It is a good tea if you’re looking for floral flavor, but as far as Oolong flavor – not so much. It is tasty, though.

The more I drink this, the more I like it. Toward the end of the cup, I noticed a sweet caramel-y note that was positively sublime! The second infusion is still floral but a bit more distinct in flavor… I can taste hints of lavender as well as the jasmine in there. Still not a lot on Oolong flavor, but, even so, it’s quite good, and deserves a higher rating than I gave it… so I shall increase it!

I haven’t tried this one yet!!!

A good tea is a memorable one and this one I do remember.

This is alright. The black tea base is smooth and the bergamot is mild. Not my favorite Earl Grey, but, it is certainly not the worst either.

Yummmmm… this is a very summer-y blend – perfect for iced tea.

The green tea is sweet, smooth and and mild – there is a hint of fresh “vegetation” but it is just-barely-there. The pineapple is juicy and sweet. I can taste a hint of lemon also, but, it is not a super-tart, puckery kind of lemon, it is very pleasant and accents the pineapple very nicely.

I really like this tropical blend. Very nice!

YUM! This is a very flavorful chai!

The masala spices has a nice balance to them, so it is difficult to discern one flavor from another, they all seem to work in harmony to create a seamless spice flavor. It is spicy and sweet and very tasty!

Although I prefer the spices to be distinguishable, I agree that it’s hard to do that w/o one getting all bratty and selfish.

The other day I went to the mall with my youngest daughter, and whenever we are in an Oregon Mall, one of the stores I always visit is the Made In Oregon store, I like to shop there because I like the idea of supporting local business. That is where I found this tea.

I have had a couple of teas from The Jasmine Pearl in the past that I’ve purchased from Whole Foods, but, I have never seen this particular flavor of tea. The FIG part intrigued me first, because I love figs. I was further intrigued when I saw that it was a Darjeeling tea … and when I read the ingredient list and saw anise… I was sold! I had to try it.

Lovely! The strongest note in this tea is the tea itself, this is a very nice Darjeeling with a pleasant muscatel flavor that really compliments the blackberry flavor very well. The fig is present at the end of the sip. The anise reveals itself throughout, although it is strong it is not overwhelming… just very pleasant. I really like it.

It has a very nice balance of flavors, with nothing overwhelming anything else… everything is light and crisp and flavorful. NICE!

I’m not getting a lot of bergamot from this blend – I can definitely taste the peach flavor, though. The bergamot IS there… lingering in the background, but this is definitely not a typical Earl Grey – not the strong, ballsy bergamot kind of Earl Grey, anyway.

But it’s not a bad tasting tea either. I wouldn’t call it a peach flavored tea – more like a peach-y, citrus-y, flower-y kind of taste. Not quite bergamot, not quite peach… but definitely interesting!

Ooooooo…sounds like I would like it…with the Peach, I mean!!!!

Cofftea

Oooh sounds delish!

LiberTEAS

As it cools a bit, I am getting more bergamot from it. It’s still a softer, gentler bergamot though. I like it, it’s definitely different.

KeenTeaThyme

I’ve got to try this out. I’m forever in a quest to find an Earl Grey blend I like, and this seems perfect. Thanks for the review – I’m on it! :)

I ordered this back when it was introduced, but since I have so many teas and not enough time in one day to taste them all, I’ve put this one away to try for another day… and this happens to be that day!

This is a very robust tea, which isn’t surprising to me. It has a very hearty, malty flavor that I’m really enjoying – it’s an excellent morning tea.

If you have a signature spice blend (sans tea), I’d love to see how it mixes w/ this!

TeaEqualsBliss

Soooooo many teas…not enough hours in the day! LOL
BTW…I have 2 HUGE boxes taped up for you…just need to get 3 others out first before I send! :P

LiberTEAS

@TeaEqualsBliss – don’t worry about getting them off to me in any hurry… I have so many teas… so very very many teas to keep me busy. :)

TeaEqualsBliss

LOL – And you will have SO MANY MORE – I threw in a bunch of my own, too.

I decided to brew up some of this to enjoy this evening as a latte. This is my first time having this as a latte…

I really like this chai, but I think I like it better without the milk.

It has a nice sweet and spicy balance… Yummy.

drank Jasmine Grey by 52teas

Bubble Gum. Yep. That is my first impression of this tea. Double Bubble bubble gum, more precisely. The kind that has the little comic strip inside and that as a kid I could buy 2 for a nickle. Yeah, that says a little something about my age, doesn’t it?

OK then.

Actually, my very first impression was not bubble gum, because my first impression was formed when I first opened the package and smelled the dry leaf. I could smell the jasmine and the bergamot. The bergamot was not as overpowering as in some Earl Grey teas, and it mingled rather nicely with the jasmine. It smelled delightful.

It is the brewed liquor that smells a bit like double bubble bubble gum. And in my very first sip, when it first hit my tongue, I could taste that sweet taste of double bubble bubble gum.

This is not a bad thing, mind you, because I like double bubble bubble gum. It is just a bid odd and unexpected.

But then, I’ve come to expect the unexpected when it comes to Frank and 52Teas!

Now that I am sipping it a little more, the flavors are becoming more defined. I can taste the jasmine notes – it is very pleasant. The bergamot is not as distinct – it is certainly not the overpoweringly purfume-y, sharp bergamot that is sometimes encountered with an Earl Grey tea. It is a nice citrus note that is smooth and sweet.

There is a faint sharp note to it though, but, it isn’t a typical Earl Grey sharpness, I think it has more to do with the jasmine. It isn’t an unpleasant sharpness, though.

I like it.

This is completely unrelated to this post, but I just wanted to let you know that I checked out your online shop today and your caramel tea sounds divine. I need to wait for a few weeks before making any more purchases, but you are really next on my list. I just hope you still have some by then.

What I always use to describe the taste of jasmine tea – the ones I’ve had, at least – is “lip gloss.” But, as I was a devotee of Lip Smackers in my youth, lip gloss and bubble gum are nearly indistinguishable to me, I think.

LiberTEAS

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a bubble gum (or even a lip gloss) kind of taste from a jasmine before. That is why this one is so unusual for me. It’s not bad, it is just different from other jasmines that I’ve encountered.

inguna

I just got a package of this. I haven’t tried it yet but it does indeed smell like Bubble Gum or Gummy Bears.

The reason I’m no longer writing for SororiTea Sisters is because I am now the Mad Tea Artist for 52Teas:

I’ll still be posting occasional reviews on teas here on Steepster, mostly backlogged reviews because I’m way behind on getting reviews posted. That’s why I’m keeping two accounts active at the current time – so that I can get those backlogged reviews posted.

My favorite teas are Yellow Teas with most Oolong teas at a close second. As far as “flavored” teas go, I love Earl Grey, Chocolate and Jasmine teas.

I also am intrigued by flavored teas with an unusual or unique flavor combination, which is why I was very excited to be the Mad Tea Artist of 52Teas!
