this tea has sprinkles in it….what’s not to love? The tea makes a great warm, comforting cup that is not too overpowering. It reminds me of a vanilla cupcake in a tea cup, minus the calories!
smooth taste-calming aroma- an overall good tea
i am just starting to get into pu-erh and I figured this would be a good segway into it. At first, which steeping this tea smelled like kitty litter that was infused with caramel pieces. But, after it was done steeping, it just smelled earthy, keeping the caramel. My first infusion I made a little too weak- I think i added too much water in my teapot by accident. Oh well, live and learn, right? The liquor is a really dark amber color, almost coffee like. The tast was a bit bitter and earthy but the sweet overtones of dark chocolate and caramel worked nicely together on my palette. Overall, I like this tea, it isn’t super earthy, which is what I was expecting, I am pleasantly surprised with it.
When I first recieved this tea, I tried it out and being a bit new to “real black teas” (versus flavored teas), I was not a fan of it at all. However, this past weekend, I retried it after some time and maybe my palette has changed, but I absolutely loved every sip of this. It was strong, a bit smokey, yet sweet at the same time. Funny thing is, my brother, who I just got to start drinking tea about 1-2 months ago hated this tea and said it tasted like he “just ate dirt”. I wonder if in a few months to a year if he will enjoy this tea as I did months later. :)
this tea is absolutely delicious. it has been my favorite out of all 5 of the tea’s Andrews & Dunham has released. However, I no longer have any of this tea left and I missed the re-release in December of their series one! I really wish I knew where it came from so I could hop on a plane and buy it! :)
just drank this morning…it was a " i need tea right now" type of morning.
drank this tea this morning as a wake up call. really needed a standard, good tasting tea with caffeine (lots of caffeine :) )
This ceylon is a bit on the lighter side of sode of the ceylon’s I’ve had but is a winner nevertheless. I love that it is simplistic, refreshing and caffeinated…exactly what i’m looking for on a rainy morning like today to get motivated.
wow, these never fail for a good cuppa. The initial scent of the pearls smell of cocoa and cinnamon, but after brewing, they smell a bit more earthy. The taste is earthy yet sweet and very satisfying. this is a definite staple in my collection.

i thought this tea was alright, the second steep didn’t hold too much flavor but the first steep was pleasantly sweet, fruity and buttery on the tongue. Overall, a pretty smooth tea for the price.
love this tea!

very surprised with this tea; it was excellent. Very flavorful with a lost lasting after taste and a medium body; very enjoyable!
very mild flavor, a little bland, but for a bagged tea, it is alright.
