190 Tasting Notes

Just had a chance to try this tea, thanks to a very nice person (Gwen) at the car maintenance place. While waiting for the mechanics to do their thing, I was hoping for a cuppa tea, but they only had coffee. She pulled out a bag of this tea that she had saved from a vacation stay somewhere. This is a good Earl Grey compared to others I’ve had (especially Twinings) but still overly strong on the oil of bergamot smell and taste. (Tea Forte is the most subtle, so far.) The package says to steep 3 mins, but was too light (I like milk and sweetener in mine). Not sure if I would buy any of this.

My humans love chai and Indian food (curries, etc.). So, trying this tea was a must! See how it all went: http://bit.ly/5kczPK

I had to hand over the review of this free sample to my buddy, Little Japanese Teapot, who did a fabulous job of steeping (without an infuser basket). My humans seemed quite pleased with the results, which is pretty amazing considering how picky they are. Details here: http://bit.ly/4OXqRU

“Breakfast blend” is a misnomer for this tea. It’s good anytime, at least that’s what my humans said when they tried the free sample: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/review-english-tea-stores-english.html

Received a free sample from Golden Moon Tea and tried it with great anticipation. Exquisite oolong. Far superior to the oolong bought locally from the Asian Market. See the full review at http://bit.ly/8dNfqd.

My humans just compared the free sample they received from the English Tea Store with the Ahmad Tea version they bought at a local Mideast Market. See the results: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/review-english-tea-stores-darjeeling.html

Earl Grey with Jasmine. My humans found it tasty but a bit overly flowery. Something about oil of bergamot combining with Jasmine that takes on an almost perfumy quality. My humans likened this to drinking a slice of pumpkin pie. Read the whole review of the free sample here: http://bit.ly/5RGeIf
