My humans tried this awhile ago and find it lives up to its name. Even if it is a flavored tea! http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/12/review-joys-teaspoon-winter-wonderland_08.html
188 Tasting Notes
Had coconut flavored teas before? Set them all aside and try this one. Real coconut flakes. Some got caught in my spout. My humans had to push them out with a stick. Hee! http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/12/review-boston-tea-companys-coconut-joy.html
Another special tea from the Arya garden in the Darjeeling area of India. Thunderbolt Tea always carries only the best. They sell out fast. http://v.gd/tna8E2
Another great Ceylon tea, this one is from a local Indian market. My humans just love having such stores in the area. http://is.gd/fYNns
World Market used to have some nice teas in wonderful square tins. This was one of them: http://is.gd/fXeyr
Now, every time my humans come home from WM, they whine about the lack of loose leaf teas and the preponderance of flavored tea dust in bags. Happily, they don’t bring such things home and expect this little teapot to steep ’em.
My humans found that this tea tasted quite different form the description on the company’s site. This is the case with many teas. Didn’t matter. Still superb. Check out the photos and details:
So loving these wonderful teas from Thunderbolt Tea in their heat-sealed foil pouches with all the air sucked out! So fresh when my humans open them! This one is another hit with us and lives up to the Darjeeling name. Photos and details: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-thunderbolt-teas-2010-sample-2.html
Another version of this classic tea, and as splendid as others we’ve tried. The leaf pieces really expand and tend to tickle this little teapot’s innards! Photos and details: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-thepuriteacoms-ti-kuan-yin.html
Somehow, the blenders at Boston Tea Co. manage to keep that tea taste in there, despite all the stuff being mixed in. Still, not quite like getting those wonderful fruity flavors from the tea leaves. Cute photos of me (and the tea, of course!) and details: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-boston-tea-companys-ginger-peach.html
My humans are definitely nutty over the malty taste of Assams. This one is a good example. It’s more of an Orthodox variety, as opposed to a CTC variety. Check out the cute cozy that keeps me so warm while I steep! Photos and details:
Benoy and his crew are up to their usual high standards with the 2010 flushes from a select group of tea gardens in Darjeeling they represent. My humans have silly smiles on their faces after drinking this tea (it’s sort of nauseating to watch!). I, however, maintain my dignity always! Take at look at these photos and details: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-thunderbolt-teas-2010-sample-1.html
Nav never disappoints – at least, not so far. He really took care in selecting teas to carry in his online store. My humans went ga-ga (no, not her!) over this tea. You gotta see the wonderful before and after steep photos of the tea leaves. I look pretty cute, too! Details and photos: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-thepuriteacoms-dong-ding-oolong.html
Set aside thoughts of pumpkin pie before trying this tea. You’ll enjoy it much better that way. No, my buddy the pie pumpkin is not in this tea. The pumpkin pieces came with the tea. Check out these so cool photos of me and details on the experience I and my humans had trying this tea: http://is.gd/gFl1k
Another tea that’s fruity without plopping in a bunch of fruit. Kudos! I think the photos turned out rather nice, especially the one of me. Hee! More details here, too: http://is.gd/gorJc
Reminiscent of smoky campfires as the caravans carrying tea travelled from China to Russia, this tea is a blend of a malty Assam and a smoky Lapsang Souchong. That smokiness seems to overwhelm. Still have teary spout from it. Details and some pretty cool photos: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/10/review-english-tea-stores-czar-nicolas.html
Expect to get one very tasty infusion, full of vanilla and black tea aromas and flavors. My humans foolishly tried a 2nd infusion. Chuckle! Details and a great photo of me next to the cutest little teacup: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/10/review-thepuriteacoms-french-vanilla.html
Don’t worry, my friend the pie pumpkin (http://is.gd/g9GSZ) is NOT in this tea, but I think some of his buddies are (shh! don’t tell him). The company also threw in some Rooibos and cinnamon with the black tea. Details and photos: http://is.gd/gbfvV
Teas like this are one of the reasons my humans have been shying away from flavored teas. This tea naturally has fruity, nutty flavors. Why add anything? Details and photos (including me, of course!): http://is.gd/g6XVL
Cute packaging (for the sample). Open it and you’ll see something wonderful! Photos and details: http://is.gd/g1E16
Nice, although not quite as good as some I’ve steeped for my humans. You get multiple infusions, though. Woohoo! See all the details and photos: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/10/review-english-tea-stores-tie-kuan-yin.html
A true classic, this version does not disgrace. My humans were wide awake and buzzing around the house afterwards. Details and some very nice photos (especially the one of “moi”): http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/10/review-boston-tea-companys-english.html
Feeling sluggish around 5pm? So do my humans. This little teapot has to kick into high gear and start steeping! Photos and details: http://lyt-tea-reviews.blogspot.com/2010/09/review-teagschwendners-english-5-oclock.html
Beautiful name. Pleasant tea. My humans have promised to take me on a tour of the Obubu tea gardens. I’m not holding my breath on it, though. Photos and details: http://is.gd/foVAV
Assams are all alike, right? Wrong! At least, that’s what my humans think: http://is.gd/fn87j
