This is a charming place to visit for a very traditional British afternoon tea – surrounded by displays of antique teapots. Nice cakes and a small selection of good teas. Popular for welsh rarebit (cheese on toast) and scones.

This great little cafe is hidden away in an antiques emporium in Lewes. The menu is not huge – as everything is freshly cooked each day – but the food is lovely and also healthy – known for interesting and colourful salads and soups and pastries. A small selection of interesting teas and a cheerful, quirky place to sit and enjoy.

Cocoa has brilliant cakes – the quality you would find in Paris. Whilst the tea list is limited – its a great place to drink tea.

Bio

I love great tea – and I’m getting into gourmet tea to reduce my interest in gourmet food in order to lose some weight. Tea brands I can access easily near my offices and home are from Fortnum & Mason and PureTea – which are delightful. However my real passion is collecting tea and related items from Mariage Freres – and as a marketer I think their brand and story is just brilliant.
