Root Beer Float (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
81

I had this for the first time from the store. I ordered it as a hot soy tea latte. It was HEAVEN. The balance between root beer tastiness and latte creaminess was perfect. The soy milk added a nice bit of sweet without having to go crazy on the sugar.

I bought some for home but I haven’t had the same success. I’ve brewed it as a regular hot tea, added a bit of cream and sugar. It tastes very weak and bland. I’ve also tried making my own tea latte but I used regular milk and again, bland. I think the trick for a hot latte is to use soy milk. I have yet to try it as a cold drink.

My first tea encounter was from my Polish grandmother; she used to make me chamommile tea when I wasn’t feeling well. She also used to rinse her hair with chamommile infused water. To this day it is still the most comforting tea for me.

I am just starting to get into loose leaf teas. I’m not a fan of green or matcha or anything like that. I like robust blacks, tasty herbals and flavoured rooibos teas. I also appreciate a good tea latte.

I live in Alberta, work full time, have three kids, a hound dog, love nail art, enjoy day trips, exploring, sunny fall days, long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners….wait a sec…wrong website!
