I am loving this as a winter tea. I really don’t think I would enjoy it in the summer. As my profile says; chammomile is one of my all time faves, and the flavor in this is very subtle as it’s dominated by licorice. I am usually not a licorice fan, but there is something in this blend that makes it really great. The licorice is STRONG in this one. Very soothing to a sore throat, especially with a bit of honey.
My first tea encounter was from my Polish grandmother; she used to make me chamommile tea when I wasn’t feeling well. She also used to rinse her hair with chamommile infused water. To this day it is still the most comforting tea for me.
I am just starting to get into loose leaf teas. I’m not a fan of green or matcha or anything like that. I like robust blacks, tasty herbals and flavoured rooibos teas. I also appreciate a good tea latte.
