I’ve never had bamboo in tea before…so when I saw this while browsing the tea section of Steepster, I knew I had to try it. Placed an order for samples, and here it is!

It’s…okay. I can taste the Genmaicha prominently, and it overpowers the other flavors quite a bit. If I try, I get a bit of ginger and cardamom. There’s a fruit-ish aftertaste to it that’s more mango & papaya than pineapple. I’m not 100% sure I’m a fan of genmaicha, and I can’t help but think this blend would be better off without it.

Bio

My love of tea started in 2001, whilst in an internship in London, England. I shared an office with a lovely man who would make me a cup of tea every morning without asking me if I even wanted it. I drink my tea neat now, because I’ve yet to find the sugar/milk combination that lives up to Pablo’s.

I drink any and all kinds of tea, and love trying new brands/varieties/flavors.
